Half a century ago people had to be reassured their social security card was not being used for identification. Now there are federally standardized and globally synchronized ID cards, government-sponsored online ID projects, DNA databases, and even secret databases of your newborn baby’s genetic information and nobody bats an eyelid. How did we get here, and how can we break this conditioning?

Barring some serious innovation, privacy and anonymity are on the floor and gasping out their last moments like goldfish plucked out of the aquarium.
We shed skin flakes constantly, by the billions. Nothing short of whole-body lamination or wearing some sort of spacesuit-like isolation suit wherever we go will prevent that process.
Each of our brains’ has a unique electrical “fingerprint” which broadcasts itself electromagnetically. So our isolation suits will also need shielding sufficient to serve as a Faraday cage. The visor can serve to thwart facial recognition, and the suit can include a device which digitizes our voice and alters it to thwart voice recognition.
Fortunately aside from some active cooling, our isolation suits won’t need life support systems comparable to spacesuits, but rather just some HEPA filtering for air which is exhausted, and some means to store bodily waste temporarily. Battery technology is getting better day by day, so this just may be feasible now, or nearly so.
There’s a market opportunity here, Mr. Musk…
Well, I was in a good mood today James, don’t take this personally but now I AM PISSED OFF. At least it seems the usual suspect wannabe Stazi countries were all named a lot except mine (ours), I haven’t heard of anything about this yet being done in Quebec (and you know how health works provincially here with very little interference from the fed who only splits the money).
I know a doctor, a girl I went to college with, I’ll ask her about this blood spots thing on newborns.

Hi Nate, I have found the one on one approach to be more favorable. With networks, social media etc. I think you only have a very short time to make an impact on someone before they see something shiny in the corner. Personal emails to friends often work with an attached note on a personal level that may engage them to view the material and join a discussion on it.
Your statement about real world communities goes hand in hand with the one on one approach. It also allows you to form links with like minded people heading down the same path.
People often feel alone and isolated regarding these types of topics and are more likely to engage with people they trust. Social media does nothing but isolate people even more.

Its been a topic on this thread from days of yor, but I’ve yet to see a slam dunk answer. Most seem to be evolving towards finally drawing a sandy line, or defaulting towards hanging out with like minds.
my experience finds varying tolerance for cognitive dissonance: the psychological dilemma of holding opposing beliefs, which is the ring of fire most must pass through to boil one’s belief structures enough (burn out the gunk, we are flying extremely sophisticated spaceships as if our mind/body was a briggs and stratton mower), so that the critical muscle is then strong and steady enough to wield occam’s razor with any success.

I had extreme difficulty trying to get my 1099-G form from the State of Florida. I called repeatedly to have it mailed to me. No luck. Finally, yesterday I got hold of a woman who said she wasn’t supposed to help me because I could get it online. To get it online I had to sign up to ID-ME ( which they rolled out last August.) I had to give my biometrics by taking a picture of my face with my phone. I explained to the woman why I did not want to do that, and she said she would help me just this once, she would not mail me my 1099, which she was looking at, but she read off the pertinent tax information so that I will able to complete my 2021 taxes. I thanked her profusely. Of course, in the future I will not ever be able to get unemployment benefits unless I comply. Will we need to have this IdME to file online taxes next year? Gone are all the tax forms we used to see in post offices this time of year. How long till they stop mail in paper tax returns?
mail in tax forms done in Aus for the past 2 years. I used to insist on filing paper forms that I filled out by hand, but its no longer available. AND, the financialese on the forms is confusing enough to drive one to an accountant.

off topic but very much on the mind: we experienced a big flood in eastern oz (mid coast) about 2 weeks ago. huge material loss, towns (3 major centers where we are, homes of thousands, roads, bridges, machinery, all whisked away by an overnight sudden heavy rain (very heavy!) national emergency was declared,, the question us mudsharks are asking: where did all that water come from? (this is on the scale of “where did the towers go”?). our area got nearly a meter in 24hrs. flash flooding ensued, people are saying “rain bomb”. I’ve crossed oceans enough to have studied weather systems, aside from geographic influence like snow storms funneling down lake erie and dumping on Buffalo NY USA, or bit like bay of fundy tides (funnel effect),. I otherwise cant understand how a down graded cyclone could stall for a week and a half over land, and continue to dump that scale of water without spending itself: 1.4m in a week, 1 m of which was at the end of the week in 24hrs…. that would be 33ft of snow in a day.

Can’t comment on the programming….doesn’t work for too long with me. But far as I can see from what you’ve presented here, James Corbett, that any passport issued fulfills all these conditions and always has. It is a federal and internationally recognized ID that is totally hooked up to cyberworld data bases.
From personal experience, US: Any looser in jail for the rest of his life for accumulated crimes can demand genetic testing of a mother and child whom he wants to deny paternity of. My child and I were forced to undergo a large blood draw that left us both nearly passing out, and she was very young, or else we would be cut off from everything owed a citizen by rights.

V I’m guilty of overusing the word “Ouroboros” here over the years,, your sentence is best delivery of that point I’ve seen (thanks). its a one kick fight. chapeau. and so but in the meantime just before the cosmic hiccup achoo’s its way to a more graceful state of breathing, the mass of humanity maybe a river that broke its banks. It happened literally (see comment above) where I live, 10 days ago, and the scale of response of people turning out to help suggests that the psychic kapture kontrols fewer people than I thought.

I learn the most from ordinary people who live real lives out in the world. I’m always interested to hear and listen to their lived life experiences, from a personal place that has something human to share.

PS I also realized one of the reasons I appreciate Mr. Corbett’s work. He has not , it appears, been psychically invaded by the stuff that can come with this kind of knowledge. I perceive no threads, outside of our universally shared cultural impacts, of outside control. This is very important to me. I can always perceive those hook-ups eventually, and there are just none present here.

Also, I have not gone into the history of the time just now, but I imagine/think that perhaps the bankster crash of ’29 was very much an “opportunity”, as Klaus would say, to bring on that ID system.
