Obama’s new approach is interesting, though I’m not sure it’s new. His administration’s main mode of operation is to say very publicly that he is going to stop something, and then either take no measure at all or a half measure, such as pretending to end Guantanamo, pretending to end the Iraq war, and now pretending to stop asset forfeiture and making some noise long ago about undoing some of the centralizing effects of the Common Core, which went absolutely nowhere.
That might be why I have been tempted, in spite of my better judgment, to qualify my outrage over the Obama administration, based on scatterings of “good things” that he did that I did not realize were not followed up on. It is, I’ll grant, an effective strategy, (while us marks are unaware of it) and I won’t be so tempted anymore.
