I don’t think the grass is greener where I’m going. I know for a fact, I can say what pleases me and, I can live my very own life where I’m going hence I’m leaving and, I will not miss my old colonial European continent…not for one minute….

With friends in each South American country, an interest in the History, nature and not least a huge interest in Human Rights including the “Rights of Nature” plus a ton more, I know very well where I’m going…
Have friends in some African countries as well and, I will off course keep visiting them but my next base will be the Andes…and, I’ll of course bring my laptop andy free speech – and, set a good distance to this old continent and the sad EU dctators…

As a kinda off topic comment I’d say that you might want to buy extra hardware to take with you since I think it’s more expensive to buy electronics in a lot of places and I get the feeling cheep Chinese electronics are going to be going away soon.

And climate-wise…already living in Ireland where we often have 4 seasons a day, I’ll just extend my experience and move to a country with 4 climates a day ….no complaints about that and, hopefully putting the worst war mongers behind me at the same time,…

We are in France and no one talks about anything – it seems they are happy to go along with it all! We don’t really have a place to go would just like to get out of here back to UK no we can’t afford it now! I ask where are you going – we were thinking of Ireland if we get there in time! We are taxed highly here in France and totally threatened by it’s government that we would be deported if we say anything about the vaccines for instance.
This “EU protecting the EU by criminalising any speech against it” is of course not unique to the EU. In the USA they call it “COG” – continuity of government – , which is supposedly to ensure a proper line of succession in the case of some sort of “calamity” that would cause some disarray. Of course, COG really is the process by which those in power ensure that they stay in power, no matter what. Even in the case of a nuclear holocaust, when even if you somehow survive and find out that everyone you know is dead and everything you own is gone, the government will remain in power. COG is such a “delicate” subject in the halls of power that any mention of it in a public forum is immediately silenced and the one who uttered the word is admonished to “keep talk like that in private conversation only”.
Uncle Stalin would be envious.

There is only one form of speech. That is free speech. All other divisions of that are diminutive and emotionally charging misdirected uses as adjectives.

I have a t shirt that says ‘”1984″ was not supposed to be an instruction manual’ . This video amply illustrates how the self entitlement of EU and UK governments have only their own interests at heart. At 78 I have realised how they have different agendas to the populations of Europe.

As always it refers to our brain and its logic and priorities.
Thinking we could win this battle without educating very soon in their lives our children how their brains and (more trivially but generally) how their nervous systems function is a written loss of time.
WE all here did believe in “progress” (or other expansionist concepts like growth, sustainable development, etc) before experiencing it was a mean to make us bet on not challenging the system, the dominance hierarchy because we thought that we would have our (rewarded) part of it tomorrow…
So let’s understand that our lifes only sense is to avoid the younger generations to make the same mistakes/ be manipulated and brought to illusions.
It is the ultimate SOLUTION to bring younger generations this (very scientific and neutral) knowledge.
Otherwise we will gain small victories as they will gain huge ones…
And too many dissidents look very selfishly at theirs (and live very well with it) preferring to ignore the loss for the mass, thinking (if they don’t wake up it’s their problem…).

All my life (I’m 82) I have been told, “You can’t say that.” My reply is “Why not, it’s true?” The answer is, “It’s not done.” I have left it there, perplexed by that answer. Now I know what was meant, inferred. I valued my speech by its truthfulness. Others put consensus before truth, as in “go along to get along”, “don’t rock the boat”, “be nice (polite)”. I don’t like parties, chit-chat, small talk. I have been told, “You think too much.” So be it, “I am what I am, and that’s all that I am.” I enjoy being me, questioning, analyzing, sharing thoughts, and most of all, learning, especially when my mind is changed by a discussion.
When I hear a meme that is flawed, self-contradictory, I must speak out. I value truth, logic, more than popularity. Also, I don’t fear evil thoughts, or believe wrong ideas should be punished, only corrected. I abhor censorship. To do so stops learning, disrespects the pursuit of knowledge, and thereby the mind itself. Nothing is more important. Our species must grow intellectually or it will perish. It is our only savior, but that is a constantly disputed fact. There is no “divine inspiration”, or instant knowledge. We must earn our survival by intellectually evolving.
I think some of us learned as they were young to resist to the group and some not.
The multiple reasons to this, education is the first of all, but then if you were just not like the others physically for example, if the others banned you from the group, and if your parents taught you to think by yourself, you could develop this ability to think “honestly”, this word honestly has not much to do with morality but more with separating your own interest from the interest of everybody…
At the end, the question is, can you stand being left out?
Because if you don’t stand, this, you will begin not to be honest, you will begin to find words, what we call today a narrative, to forget that you are lying to yourself.
When people gain is being a part of the dominant side, it is strength of the group, but today this strength has become a cognitive weakness.
Some people say that the ones that are called “gifted” or “highly gifted” are people who understand very soon that language has more to do with dominance rather than logic.
In France, there is a word, we call them zebras to explain that they think differently from others, with a tree-like way of thinking.
Tree-like instead of binary black/withe which to me refers to a more “honest” way of thinking.
I think the link is that black or white has to do with the exclusivity with or against the group (emotional building).

When I investigated these “misinformation” networks in Sweden, I found various cults and old Nazis connected to various esoteric orders and even knightly orders.

Australia had a narrow escape last year.
The current (and recently re-elected) government blames the opposition for why it withdrew its Misinformation and Disinformation Bill, as the bill wouldn’t have passed the senate.
The bill may well resurface soon with the new Senate composition making passage of such a bill more likely.

Your guest’s solution is disappointing unfortunately, basically going with the political opposition. The real solution is more than easy: use different tech! Use uncensorable encrypted decentralized networks instead of facebook and twitter and let the EU legislate all it wants.
Well, June 10th, Dutch minister of Justice and Safety announced on Twitter:
“Cash payments over €3000 for buying goods will be forbidden.
And from november 2026 we can, THANKS TO EU RULES, also take away criminal assets WITHOUT CONDEMNATION.
Yes, there you have it.
He later deleted the last sentence.
So I verified if this is gonna happen. Yes. EU-rules.
So in all of Europe.
Of course social media apps and conversations will be used.
