In Praise of Sheep

If I were to write “If there is hope, it lies in the proles,” the book readers among you would no doubt nod your heads, recognizing the Orwell reference.

Yes, you would say to yourself, scratching your chin in contemplation. It’s true. The Party can’t be overthrown from within. It’s only the great mass of humanity who will be able to accomplish that. I mean, just see what happens to Winston Smith at the end. Even he gets subsumed by Big Brother.

But if I were to write “If there is hope, it lies in the sheeple,” your reaction would no doubt be very different, regardless of how well-read you are.

What? The sheeple? They’re all useless idiots! They’re leading us all to the slaughter! I hate them and I laugh when they die suddenly after taking their 3rd jab!

But I am going to write it nonetheless: “If there is hope, it lies in the sheeple.”

Now, if you’ll join me, let’s explore that concept. Once we get past the knee-jerk reaction that most of us will have to that statement, I think you’ll agree that there is a profound truth in these words.

  1. >If the masses of people—not just a small pack of independent, critical thinkers, but the vast majority—suddenly “woke up” and became ferocious lions and marauding wolves and started attacking those who stood in their way and spilling the blood of all who resisted, at what point would this revolution of awakened lions and wolves simply become the new psychopathic ruling class?

Such a great point, illustrating why the real revolution is one of consciousness, without which, forceful removal of those in power gains nothing. As long as the aggregate consciousness believes in the superstition of political authority, we wind up only replacing the current rulers with a new batch. In choosing to no longer be prey, we must be careful to not become the very predator we are trying to break free of.

The lions and wolves we should become are not marauding predators (no analogy holds true to the ultimate). Rather we should take on the qualities of independence, thinking and acting for ourselves, resolute refusal to be enslaved or have our labor exploited for evil, willingness to defend our freedom when necessary, and without losing our love for peaceful coexistence with one another.

“I do not ask that you place hands upon the tyrant to topple him over, but simply that you support him no longer; then you will behold him, like a great Colossus whose pedestal has been pulled away, fall of his own weight and break in pieces.” — Étienne de la Boétie

    • If our enemy is “…the superstition of political authority” then a “wake-up call” will not be sudden, nor likely in our lifetime. But we can keep improving ourselves, and helping others help themselves. It must be mutual, respectful, voluntary. It starts within us and them, and we only control ourselves. Note: Self-improvement requires constant self-awareness, psychological maintenance. Etienne made a brilliant discovery, and in later life, forgot it. (Or so I read in an online comment.) That disturbed me. (Could it happen to me?)

      • >That disturbed me. (Could it happen to me?)

Certainly. It could to any of us. But it probably won’t happen to you, as long as you keep taking the possibility very seriously.

  2. We need to wake people up from simplifying the world in order to feel more comfortable with not knowing

    • Crm

That’s the thing about the normie – they’re a normie because they WANT ti simplify things and do normal stuff. They DONT WANT to know- as Mr Corbett said you can’t wake up people who pretend to be asleep

      • And this process might not even be a conscious one, but a subconscious one in order to protect people from psychological stress.

It’s like the psychology of Stockholm syndrome, sort of. Part of it is human nature.

Anything that is a profound stress to human psyche (such as turning someone’s world view upside down) will often be met with some kind of coping mechanism. And this may have little to do with intellect sometimes.

There were people with high IQs who took the jab and the boosters believe it or not. Highly intelligent people do stupid things sometimes.

Humans are driven by emotion to a significant extent much of the time, rather than logic even among those who should know better.

      • It’s sort of like pulling one’s hand off a hot stove, except the pain is not physical but psychological.

    • CRM, you nailed it. Thumbs up for you.

  3. Good point oakgnarl, perhaps it is a process of evolution of thought and consciousness when, through education by the few of the many, gradually there is a waking up to the system of control the sheeple labour under and a realisation that it doesn’t have to be like that. This is more likely to bring about real and meaningful change than any kind of violent revolution. The long game.

    • When I found out (60 years ago) that rebellions against tyranny were common all over the world, and when successful, FAILED, it puzzled me. I just knew that was a key political fact that must be thought about. Ayn Rand dealt with it in “Atlas Shrugged”. The rebels didn’t use violence; they stopped economically supporting their enemies. This left the authoritarians with less and less propaganda. It might have been much more effective if they had stayed and openly, loudly went public with criticism, just as Elon is doing.

      • “…..The rebels didn’t use violence; they stopped economically supporting their enemi…..”

What happened to the “sheep” (I prefer to say normie) who depended upon that economy the rebels had held up with their production?

  4. Tribal identities: The Woke (vs. The Deplorables), The Red-Pilled (vs. The Sheep)
While The Woke and The Red-Pilled engage in Kaiju Big Battel, I would like to see a good old fashioned mud wrestle between The Deplorables and The Sheep. Or maybe a banjo duel. Or a bake-off.

    • Kate led

Do you think you don’t have a tribal identity?

No one sits and thinks out all their entire moral compass on their own, they get their firmware installed from outside

      • Hi Duck, everything comes from somewhere, but I try to be aware (in myself) of belief patterns that fall too neatly into a single category. I do not always succeed. Regarding the tribal identities, I was being facetious about there actually being Sheep or Deplorables or whatever. Though I do think a bake-off would be interesting…

  5. I love this post. I thought for the longest time it might only be me who cringes when I hear others described as ‘sheeple’, ‘normies’, or the ‘unawake majority.’

We must not forget our own empathy and humanity by othering those who don’t see things as many of us do. It is our own slippery slope if we dehumanise other people by sneering and I am sure many of our critics will fail to see the harm which may befall them because they are such nice people themselves they cannot believe others mean them harm.

    • “Normie” is not derogatory- it’s pretty obvious that most people want to live their lives, have their Freida and families and their little trials and triumphs and have “normal” quiet lives where they don’t have to pay attention to much outside their circle of friends and acquaintances.

There is nothing wrong with that, thats just what they like….its not dehumanizing to say people don’t like the things I like , or that the things n that interest me are not interesting to them.

If you don’t believe me about the nature of the normie you should look at the things they like to watch on TV-one complaint I hear about shows is how they all tend to turn into soap operas. The one thing I hate about white people , esp middle class ones, is their assumption that everyone wants to be like them- thats the true dehumanizing way of thought

      • Growing up in the ’40s/’50s I saw so-called “white culture” displayed on TV/movies. It was unrecognizable to this white kid. I saw a delusional portrayal that was rarely accurate, thanks to “Hollywood” endings, self-censorship, even in books.
My point: People who try to be someone they are not dehumanize/degrade themselves. It’s NOT a way of thinking, a thoughtful process, it’s devoid of consciousness, relying on subconscious reactions to emotions. Just like “liberal democrats” and “conservative republicans” want to glorify themselves and dehumanize each other.

        • Watching Hollywood movies showed you what a bunch of alien Jews wanted America ti become – like it says in “an empire of their own” Hollywood made a fake America that ate the real one.

    • Yes it’s important to retain ones humanity and empathy. And also not ignore one’s own instincts or basic needs. Some of these “sheeple” are assholes and some who are truly mindless followers (not all of them are), can be dangerous.

Face to face interactions and getting to know people even those with contrary views is a good strategy for information gathering.

  6. Categories,
Shall we put you in a category? Criminal , pillitical
    and political, prole?
As a child, myself and a good dozen of friends new the categories. 8 years old and we knew the criminals. 9 years old and we new the politicals. They were as creepy as the criminals, and less trusted than criminals who you new for certain would knife you. At 10 years old our herd, flock or click knew the terrain. It holds together up until this day. The crime cost one his life, and others did hard time for murder, aggravated assault, robbery.
They caused a lot of heart aches.
The politicals went on to greater crimes. Betrayal of public trust . Banking, insurance, law enforcement. Financial to Used cars. One miscreant went on to be whip of the statehouse. Wrote law for hire through his law firm. Caused a lot of suffering to many more than the criminals did. They got fined , heavily and got 3 years of home arrest. Never admitting or repenting to their crimes, only sorry the judiciary bankrupted them.
The remaining sheep prole friends , would all die for each other as a principle in their existence. It could be jinned up quickly . Turned into lions, tigers or bears on the turn of a dime.
As I have tried to interest my friends to read what James Corbett has put forth, they rely on me to esplain-it-to-them. However what we know is not what the children today know. Maybe Reportage will be that animal farm of the future warning them of the categories that a child can be put in to. The future is fixed in the hearts of my friends. How that occured, and how to replicate it in the future is waiting to be revealed. That’s the genius of the English Lit Majors to accomplish. Say it well James and company.

  7. “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.”

    • Billions & billions have meekly (subserviently) lived over the millennia. None verified they got their inheritance. I’ll make the most of my one life, assuming it’s all I get, and that it’s up to me to make the most of it.

      • >Billions & billions have meekly (subserviently) lived over the millennia.

That’s true, and a very good point. Religion often encourages people to assume subservience, and assumes subservience in scripture where it can be conveniently interpreted as such. I would argue this is an example of authoritarian mind control. We should certainly question (if not outright reject) any doctrine that teaches subservience to other human beings.

That being said, I’ve often found that it’s worth examining various interpretations in scripture for potential merit. It’s a goldmine when we look beyond the dogma and engage the imagination, in my opinion. If we interpret “meek” as simply “non-aggressive”, rather than “subservient” necessarily (as it typically is), this hints at the very thing James does in this article: aggression and violence can never be the path.

        >None verified they got their inheritance.

And that’s the question isn’t it? Is this scripture some kind of guarantee of what you will achieve or “inherit” in this life? Or is it addressing some occurrence potentially beyond the mortal coil? It seems clear there is not much merit in the former, while the latter is indeed quite an interesting consideration.

        >I’ll make the most of my one life, assuming it’s all I get, and that it’s up to me to make the most of it.

I take exception with the scientific materialist view, which makes dim assumptions regarding what lies outside the limits of what can be observed, measured, and repeated under laboratory conditions, for number of reasons, not least of which is a just a powerful intuition that there is more to my consciousness than this body, based on my subjective experiences. Besides this, from a purely intellectual position, at least as far as risk management, it makes much more sense to assume that how we live our life here has some kind of effect on what happens after.

If this is the only life you get, and there is nothing else, well then, it doesn’t matter. Sweet nothingness at the end.

But what if not. What if how you live here DOES affect what happens after you die? I’d rather live (or “make the most of”) my life by raising consciousness to the highest level of care, respect, morality, energy, and motivation toward mutual well being with my family, my fellows, and my ecosystem that I can, those are the seeds I choose sow, “just in case”, but also according to my deep conviction based on intuition that this is how I should live, regardless of what happens.

Even though there is not (or maybe never even can be) any conclusive evidence regarding what happens after we die, I find the personal testimonies of people remembering past lives, including children with abnormal skill or genius that typically only comes from long practice, is compelling, and also the scriptures and sages that speak of a life beyond. I find it difficult to be dismissive of this idea simply because science can’t see it, when it comes from such a profound source of wisdom.

  8. “…..Upon further contemplation, it becomes obvious that the entire premise of the “Wake up, sheeple” meme rests on the assumption that sheep are loathsome and pathetic creature……”

The sheep analogy may be wrong- the very cute pic of a dog with sheep hugs brings to mind that a dog is NOT a wolf.
People are more like dogs, we have been domesticated by living in large scale social organisms that require us to bend our nature ……and this gives us some advantages and some disadvantages (just as dogs have some advantages and failings vs wolves)

The majority of humans must be domesticated to an extent because we live in a farm- society is a farm that feeds and shelters us and very very few are really willing to become a “wolf” and live a short nasty Brutish life on their wits. This is not loathsome, just the way things are, but the “sheep” really are pathetic. A sheep person is so far gone that it’s too late for them….they would not shake the system if they could because it feeds them and they love it like a dog loves it’s master

Humans born today could never be the “human wolves” , but they certainly have a choice between becoming nasty pit bulls, cleaver obedient labs, sneaky weasel hounds (I have one….) or some kind of retarded and hideous human pug dog.

At some point people who go into the system won’t be human any more….but more imidiately they will loose the option to choose what they become.

    • I recently read a book by a Spanish paleoanthropologist who was describing the process of human domestication. He maintained that, unlike the humans domesticating goats, wild boars, wolves, etc., we humans have actually domesticated OURSELVES.

How did we do it? Well, according to him, we did it through capital punishment. Through history (and prehistory) rebellious young males raising against established society in one way or another were systematically killed. That includes both sociopaths and truly just but rebellious characters willing to put their lives at risk in order to change the world. Tamer peopler have thus had more chances to survive and reproduce themselves.

I see the domestication of man in that double light. Ironically, the “better” we get, the more meek we are, and that thus lessens the chances of a general uprising. A non-violent rebellion of the meek would look something like a non-conformist “female” rebellion, instead of a traditional male-lead violent one.

I used to believe something like that could be possible but, after seeing how most women around me have tended to support the power apparatus thinking it will keep them, and humanity as a whole, safe (i.e.: “down with the Patriarchy, long live the State!!”) –well, I admit I’ve lost pretty much all my faith on that.

      • Haddock
“….we humans have actually domesticated OURSELVE….”

Yes, I believe that is true- but I think it’s MORE than just capital punishment. People who can’t function via being too violent getting hanged is just the more extreme end of anti social behavior being punished. People who are TOO obnoxious and don’t go along to get along mostly have low status and thus had a harder time finding a woman who wants to have their kids. It’s more “soft” selective breeding IMO.

One guy who talks about this is Dr Dutton “the holly heretic” (though he does focus excessively upon IQ and has theater kid tendencies) He thinks that Europe hanged it’s violent young men for long enough that it bumped the IQ up, but I don’t think IQ is as related to violence as he says.

I don’t think there is such a thing as a women led revolt- even in highly feminized fields you tend to have a bunch of women who ultimately answer to a guy- I think the state /system/ boss becomes an alternative kind of husband for them. The feminist movement was just as controlled and artificial as the music industry so I think it’s done on purpose to make female workers who are seen as more biddable then men were.

      • Along this line of thinking, women who were powerful mystics were burned at the stake as “dangerous witches.” Dangerous they surely were – dangerous in the eyes of the established religious order of the day because powerful women threaten the system of social control.

Therefore, powerful women were selected out of humanity in the domestication process, same as men. You just needed to be some kind of a dissenter and a threat to the authoritarian power structure to be hung up on a crucifix, stoned, thrown to hungry lions, etc. The murder of dissenters was put on display for all to appreciate and to take heed.

Unfortunately, organized uprisings which overthrew the established order led to the recreation of yet more authoritarian systems of social control. Why? I suggest that we are easily distracted from our true, honest, loving selves by various forms of slow poison and noise pollution – an elaborate system of indoctrination. People who believe that there SHOULD BE an authoritarian control structure are the problem, but this type of belief is not our true nature. The belief in authoritarianism is based on lies that we are fed from a young age, either from our parents who also believe the lies, the television, or from the state run education system and society at large.

The solution: self study. Our beliefs must be taken apart one at a time. Humanity must bring under the light of suspicion and doubt that which it currently believes to be true without question. This requires tremendous patience and courage, and it must happen one individual at a time.

I figure, it’s way more convenient to just fall in line and do whatever the television tells us to do. But, do we love our children? Do we care about their future? If the answer is yes, then self-study (meditation) seems to be the only reasonable option for our species to escape the control grid.

        • Sand
“… but this type of belief is not our true nature….”

If that were true then there would be a time in the past where people did not live in hierarchy systems…hierarchy appears like it is as natural in man as it is in animals. I would argue that it is impossible to live in a group above a very tiny size without hierarchy.

Authority of one person over another is quite natural to see in parent child relationships too. It’s natural to see in families that parents have authority over kids.

What’s UNnatural is that we live in groups so big that authority is no longer related to responsibility and group bonds.

“…. because powerful women threaten the system of social control….”

Not very often, women are normally PART of the system of social control- things like the white feather campaign of WW1 or Spartan mothers telling their sons to come back with their shield or on it are examples. Today women’s status consciousness is used against them via media (and thus to influence men) and their tendency to follow peer pressure and group consensus is a useful tool of social control – I recall a poster her on CR who got the vax because his wife made him do it when social pressure grew to much for her.

          • Hi Duck,

Sure, I agree that hierarchy within human culture is natural up to certain point. Parent / child relationships are a great example. As a parent myself, I see no other reasonable way for the household to function without hierarchy. And yes, that means there is authority involved.

However, an earned position of authority due to age or experience is not what we’re dealing with here. It is not natural for humans to believe in the need for an enormous, authoritarian governmental hierarchy which makes self-serving and self-perpetuating laws and which claims be essential in order to protect us from our (most likely otherwise peaceful) neighbors. This form of authority could not possibly work without a complex system of indoctrination. I presume that we can work things out with our neighbors just fine without this type of government.

On the other hand, there is also the possibility that I am wrong, and therefore we are hopelessly doomed to the technocratic system which is on the rise. At this risk of sounding completely negative, perhaps this is all way too theoretical because the technocratic state appears to have, in fact, already arrived.

If powerful women, mystics who were familiar with great secrets of life such as healing with herbs, were murdered at the stake as witches, that would be an excellent explanation for why we do not see very many powerful women of this sort today. Both the craft and the sort of woman who might have learned that craft from her mother have been extinguished.

The culling of the herd over the centuries has not only made public examples of and thus weeded out strong and intelligent dissenting men. The same has been true of strong, intelligent, dissenting women. After all, neither sex in its independent and self-realized state can be said to be convenient to a would-be master class who is honing and indoctrinating the slave class, which is more-or-less all of us.

  9. The article misses the whole point of the power of the sheeple to simply say no.
    Not complicated, not violent.

The elite know that 80% will do what ever they are told and some of the elites are made up of the remaining 20%, at least as useful idiots.

The 20% non sheeple are the smartest and fully know they are given their positions in academia or professional and managerial class to manipulate the sheeple, probably 2% are prepared to use their intelligence and power for good.

I would say most of the time when the sheeples life is intolerable the answer is to send them to war to reset the timeline. There is a possibility the whole process is in fact a breeding program to select for these human traits.

    • >The article misses the whole point of the power of the sheeple to simply say no.
      Not complicated, not violent.

While most probably recognize the wolf/sheeple meme simply as symbols for wild, free, noble, and independent, vs. domesticated, herd-mentality, and enslaved, there are those out there that are prone to both violent solutions, as well as severe ego trips, who would condemn or ridicule the sheeple rather than try to help and educate them, without recognizing that they are indeed where our hope lies for achieving greater freedom in the world, and perhaps need a reminder that being peaceful by nature isn’t a bad thing.

That being said, I interpret the meme as you do, and I think it’s a fully worthy meme. As long as we can resist those tempting fantasies of becoming a blood-drinking predator. :o)

  10. I like to call them people, people are awesome! At least that’s my experience, I like to see them at eye level, not above or not below. Live by example is the only way forward I can see! “By your deeds shall you be known”.

    • i like your comment.

  11. Thanks James – again – still!

Unfortunately I don’t think the majority want to wake up…

Their lives as sheeple are clearly too good for them to give any of it up .

At least we can still chose not to spend time with them ..question is, for how long?

Anyone here, know the road to other planets? This one is becoming too much, too booring…zzz

    • I don’t really want to move to another planet. This planet is our home, and I thank God (life itself!) every day for our home and the riches that it offers us, especially for the fruit and vegetables that we munch on, coming directly from our garden!

Now, on the other hand, I have the tendency to fall into doubt about the long term benefits of staying rooted in Switzerland. The level of social control is insane here; we are the blueprint of a structured society ruled by wealthy bankers. As Derrick Broze recently said in Opting Out of Technocracy – #SolutionsWatch, Jun 9, 2025, (I’m paraphrasing…) it might be wise to recognize that there is less chance of freedom where you live and then move to a place that might potentially offer more chance of freedom in the long term.

Of course, my wife is a family doctor and her practice is here. We love our home and the community of friends that we’ve made through the school. We have clean water on tap, fresh air, a beautiful lake, and the Swiss Alps to admire. On the upside, many MANY people all around us are awake to the COVID-19 scam and to the world political movement towards technocracy (algocracy.) I don’t understand why I need to let fear be my guide, forcing me run away from this incredibly rich and beautiful land.

Here’s hoping that tomorrow we’ll feel as free and as good as we feel today.

  12. There may be a couple of memes exhorting people to be lions or wolves rather than sheep, but I don’t think that’s a dominating theme. At least 95% of the “Wake up, sheeple” utterances I’ve seen have meant just that: “Wake up.” I would say his lions/wolves thing was a straw man, except he did have three memes.

Moreover, I don’t think it’s obvious on any amount of contemplation that “the entire premise of the ‘Wake up, sheeple’ meme rests on the assumption that sheep are loathsome and pathetic creatures.” In fact I’m not aware of anyone at all who considers sheep in general to be “loathsome”. Sheep are generally regarded positively, or neutrally at worst. The characteristic of concern in the political sense is their blind ignorance and unthinking willingness to be led. This is a legitimate concern, and Corbett as much as anyone else has strived to address it. I think he’s being oddly self-contradictory in saying, if only in this piece, that people should remain sheep and thus, implicitly, blind and ignorant – until they gradually mature enough to accept his avant-gardish political philosophy generations from now.

  13. ‘Sheep’ was chosen because of the way sheep mindlessly baa and follow the herd – eventually to slaughter, presenting no resistance to the shepherd or sheepdog.
Awakening the sheep refers to making the sheep realize the truth of their existence so that they’ll stop mindlessly following the herd, stop complying and stop assisting their own demise.
The ‘awakening the lions/wolves’ variant was injected by bad actors trying to bait the ‘right’ into ‘doing a terrorism’ or attempting to kick off a ‘civil war’.

“What kind of person fantasizes about being a blood-drinking predator, anyway?”

It seems there’s always a certain percentage of human populations geared to be exactly that, and I’ve often wondered if it’s common knowledge amongst TPTB that one of the purposes of war is to purge ‘civil’ societies of these “dumb stupid animals”.

I know of no way to stop TPTB at this point (physically or intellectually).
They appear to have put enough safeguards in place to rule for at least the next millennium.
But we can still do our best to slow them down, out of principle if for no other reason.

    • Actual sheep on the farm I lived on, would often try to escape. They were known as ‘jumpers’, and before they would affect and lead other sheep astray, they were first in the truck to market, despite the breeding loss. Yes the obvious is overlooked in this meme… people love lambs.. and eat them. Second, most sheep you ever see are female, as someone earlier said, not many female led revolutions, just lots of quiet influencing.
i do note that the Shepherd, was himself crucified, which may have limited many truly wise leaders of action to remain desk bound articulators of opt out and just say NO , builders of alternative society. for nicer sheep… Listening to the Agenda plans, its difficult to see how confusing the dim henchmen can succeed for long when judiciary, media, police and state machine are all bought or bullied. Oh and now education too, so the window for ANY escape is very short,

  14. The predator alternative is NOT a good long-term option.
Humbly reflect the truth that has come directly into your life experience. It is a small sliver, yet indispensable when pure. This is what speaking the truth means to me. Be a mirror, amplifying the light. It is a simple reflection of your actual experiences, sans warping, coloring, or being clouded with propaganda and agendas. Recognizing and taming the ego is the key. This includes overcoming the urge to ‘go along’ as an unconscious survival tactic.
As far as mass awakening goes, it is not possible in the short term. The best we can hope for is a deep evolutionary change that gets people to really value and insist on the truth. This looks like it will take generations, and severe tribulations, at least. It is in the hands of God, or fate, however you could call it, not in the hands of mere people, even Trump.

    • One does not have to become a predator when not a sheep….there are all kinds of other animals between the two 🙂

the metaphor of sheep is that they have zero defense. I had sheep as a kid and their dumb as fk and you could probably beat them to death with a hammer (no, I did NOT do that) and they couldn’t stop you

Cows, even domesticated ones, on the other hand will trample you if you get stupid around them.

      • Sheep are pretty cute animals to be honest. I actually like them and considered buying some sheep for milk or just as pets, but don’t know if I could afford it.

Yes, cows can be dangerous if you piss them off. There are a cows that graze where I’m living now and I encounter them on walks and hikes I take with my dog who likes to bark at them. There was a bull we encountered who wasn’t afraid of my dog and looked annoyed when we passed him. I told my dog to stop barking because a large animal even a domesticated one can be dangerous if you piss it off.

        • Try goats- the are sneaky little beasts and even cuter. They live to climb and the milk is very nice 🙂

        • Speaking of sheep who want to be free (Sambody!) and “jumping” to the subject of cows (cu.h.j!), we’ve probably all encountered (if only in articles or videos) a few individuals who belong to one or the other of these species; who manage to escape from slaughter pens, slaughter-bound trucks, or even slaughterhouses (the last stop); who run away, if they can, and sometimes hide out, if they can; and who eventually end up at farm sanctuaries, to the cheers and relief of almost everyone (except those who can no longer profit from the escapees’ “pounds of flesh”).

Then there’s the non-compliant cow featured in this 44-second video who didn’t have to run away to save her life: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Dhk8uJV2_Aw

I root for all innocent, harmless persons who, NO MATTER THEIR SPECIES, want to wake up from false labels and categorizations (some self-imposed, others imposed by their so-called superiors) and fulfill their God-given capacity to:

          * think for themselves — and make their own decisions,
          * move about freely — and refuse to be boxed in or limited,
          * obey their conscience — their highest sense of right,
          * choose their companions — and choose when to be left alone,
          * live with purpose — a purpose of their own, not of another’s,
          * express their innately good, inherently intelligent qualities — which are implanted in each of us by our all-good, in-all-ways-intelligent Maker.

I believe we each have an inner guide, a moral compass, and, for that reason, can be led (gently) to awaken (gently) in our own time and our own way.

No matter what the appearance, we are each loving, lovely, lovable little lambkins who sometimes lose our bearings. Or maybe it looks like we’ve permanently gone off the track! But, whatever the circumstance, no one deserves to be scorned, given up on, or taken advantage of — ever.

Our sheep-like meekness is not a weakness. Ilija made that point by quoting the third Beatitude (Matthew 5:5).

Lions and wolves have many exemplary qualities, too, as several commenters have made clear. (They only seem vicious because, to mortal sense, they need to hunt to stave off starvation.)

Thinking about lions led me to look up the true story of Christian the lion cub raised in London. I found a brand-new five-minute video about Christian. Its narrator asks us to reflect on not only the deep bonds that can develop between humans and so-called “exotic” “pets” but even more on the freedom that all “wild animals” (and all of us!) need and deserve: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaIfvmWRYCI

If you want to learn what happened to Christian, you can read this article: https://www.kenyasafari.com/christian-the-lion.html. Underneath, you can click to read about Elsa the lioness, whose story inspired the book, movie, and song Born Free (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISWOrI0WaLs).

Combining our best lion qualities with our best sheep qualities can help us become like the little child spoken of in Isaiah 11:6.

  15. I have been critical since long before the beginning (2020) and have come to realise that I am not a preacher/missionary or someone who can impose my thoughts on others. What I can do is listen to others and point out a fact or two. In a peaceful setting, it can get through to the other, little by little. I have seen that the sheeple nowadays who have been confronted with the jab and by now know of the lie they’ve been told by the authorities, are mostly as silent as they can about it. They look as if they’re internally hurt (they are, the poor sods), and have become rather nervous about it. These sheeple don’t like being confronted outright with their mistake, they can’t live with it in the face of somebody who figured it all out beforehand. So they continue to read the msm, and think they’re doing a whole lot better than before, mainly adopting similar tales as if it were better than before. A sign of hope for me is that the ‘alternative’ media (in Holland) are speaking through well known and respected people, real people, that e.g. the political system needs to be overturned, needs to become more democratic, and should include the voices of the populace, coming up with doable ideas. They, the sheeple, will more easily come along in such a process than listening to individuals like myself. They attach some sort of importance, some sort of authority to what comes from a well known person. I personally think this comes from their upbringing, their schoolsystem, conservative style, like the authority they got used to from an early age. This doesn’t really count for me, since I went to a different kind of school (montessori, where one has to investigate oneself & come up with answers in e.g. an exam or homework etc.) The sheeple are not used to thinking for themselves and it’s hard for them, maybe even impossible, to do differently. This is I think, what we are up against. The only answer to the challenge I have is to be persuasive in a non confrontational manner, to leave them intact so to speak. I can not do it for them and I wish them and everybody well..

  16. I don’t put all my hope in one basket. One thing I do strongly believe is that their goal to outsmart nature and “cosmic intelligence” that includes evolution will ultimately fail. Life has existed on the planet for about 4 billion years and that wisdom that allowed this miracle to occur cannot be controlled by technocracy. I think part of what they want to do is “become God(s)” through technology and I don’t think it’s possible. I really don’t.

But even if their pursuits will inevitably fail this does not mean that they can’t cause pain and suffering for billions of people and all life forms on the planet and that is what I think “we” are trying to prevent with “waking up” the “normies”

The concepts explored in the past that really resonated with me are the power of narrative and also the positive take on the “bystander effect” or leading by example.

I do think people tend to follow a leader and that might be something natural and not something to be scorned. Everyone follows and example at some point in their life.

I think people do tend to do what is convenient but also are driven by survival instincts. Providing alternatives to people that aren’t feeding the beast can be one avenue of resistance.

Also having reasonable expectations will help with frustration.

I mean people here must have had some “normie” tendencies before encountering this kind of information right? I know I did and probably still do.

There’s also probably people who know what’s going on but don’t know what to do. Perhaps breaking things into small sized tasks that can grow will be more effective. I suffer from lack of motivation and procrastination and have found when I do small tasks and complete them, my motivation grows.

To be honest some of this knowledge about our predicament can be overwhelming. I presume that some of the “normies” who know what’s up are overwhelmed because they don’t know what to do. People want to live in relative peace with basic needs being met.

  17. “If there is hope, it lies in the sheeple.”

It’s an oversimplification. There’s no single solution. Predators in the animal world and their prey have to be in balance to survive. There’s an “intelligence” there.

I think the estimate is 1% of people are psychopathic, perhaps naturally. That’s a big number. Power vacuums can create chaos and devastation.

Solutions focused action can be taken even if the problems are poorly understood or elusive. Small steps, like I mentioned are a good start.

What steps? Some mentioned in the past like using cash and getting away from destructive use of technology. Continuing to plant seeds.

Some people will be better at different things and have different natures and can’t turn into something different.

Also, knowing that there is no perfect solution or utopia. That is a flawed and unachievable goal. Human beings are imperfect. There will probably always be some degree of destruction and evil in the world, but balancing it out so it doesn’t consume everything is achievable in my humble opinion.

  18. When I think of sheeple I do not think of those things mentioned in the article. I think of livestock. I have never seen a sheep who is a unique individual. Every sheep is simply a number in the herd.

  19. Thanks James – what a good post and lots of insightful comment. My take: “sheeple” as a derogatory term has never sat comfortably; it smacks of superiority when we are all blundering around like ships lost in fog blaring our horns and signalling in panic and which nobody heeds.
We can never be certain of the truth because we are inside the system;the intuition that there is Truth is an act of faith which is beyond the intellect.
