You know, people lose me with this “they think you’re idiots” line. The NFA is obviously and egregiously antithetical and repugnant to the Constitution, and therefore null and void by default (see Marbury v. Madison). It has basically, in practice, served to ensure that the only people able to obtain such mechanical advantages have been, for nearly a century, the most financially secure class. People without generational wealth or great financial success have been all but priced out of the option by exorbitant “taxes,” not to mention the philosophical grounds that a person may hold against forking over hard earned cash to a tyrannical government simply to be able to exercise the Second Right enumerated in the first ten amendments of the Constitution, one deemed “inalienable,” therefore inherent and granted without permission from any man.

On the topic of absurd and disturbing Fox News type memes, we have a member of our UU church, who is Blueish, and a devotee of the clown known as Sean Hannity. He likes to throw zingers into the congregation during our “joys and concerns” part of our service, where we share something about our lives in the past week.
A few weeks ago, this fellow said, “Im so glad the murder of children has stopped in the Middle East”. NOw usually this little lefty group is commendably tolerant of his nonsense, but THIS time all heads turned and looked at him in horror. I added, “ARe you out of your mind??”
Previously after a similar comment a few months ago, it was suggested that he go to Palestine to see for himself what is going on.
We have a colleague, formerly associated with our group here, who is a Palestinian Christian. He returned to Palestine with his Chinese wife (I think they met at Yale), when the horrors perpetrated against his people were too much to take sitting down.
Mazin and wife created an amazing institute in the town of Genene and has had a standing offer of free room and board for volunteers who would like to visit the Holy Land and help the Palestinian people. After this latest comment, we decided we had to ship this guy over there to Mazin.
We decided it would be easier and more fun to make a group trip there for a few weeks in late fall or early winter. The Blueish Hannity fan is up for it, which is great. I am looking for others who would join us. A trip alone with this guy would be a nightmare.
Mazin will be presenting at a service in the next few months to spark interest.

This biological computer thing seems a lot like the Movie “Matrix” coming to life. It seemed like crazy Sci-fi when I watched it from the front row in a wide screen theater back when it first came out, but now here it is being made possible for real in order to save energy. The energy being consumed by Artificial Intelligence is so greedy that it needs ways to reduce it’s needs.
My view is that AI will eventually be destroyed by it’s own greed to log and control everything. This it will never learn that it cannot do.
