Years back when I was involved with Home Schools, there was a certification service for home schools and private schools.
The school would pay yearly dues (in the hundreds of dollars) and would then receive a “certification” document with a prestigious looking seal. Come to find out — the certification person did not do squat. No inspection. Just take the money and send a pretty paper made for framing.
So, a home school got with a friend in another state and they conspired to start their own certification service. And they charged much less, and they actually did inspections.
I tell this story, because anyone could start a “Created by a Human” logo and certification service. Ya could even get AI to help you launch it. 😉

Those of us that still value real creative works that were made manifest by human beings developing their craft need to support each other otherwise many meaningful works could be drowned out in the noise and they may resign from their dream to share creative works and instead choose a corporate 9-5 to pay the bills. RE: the oil prices/access destabilizing situation (and how it may impact food prices/access).
Two thoughts on resources almost anyone can access for free that allow you to produce food without oil based fertilizers.
1. composting to make soil using free “waste” materials
2. growing mushrooms (such as shiitake or oyster mushrooms) on hardwood logs (that has ancient roots in Japan).
While the petroleum based economy and food system falters and becomes increasingly unreliable i`ll be leaning into more ancient and resilient forms of food production.
Rather than depending on governments and corporations to feed you (that turn oil into food on your plate via big AG) learn to turn leaves, kitchen scraps and random debris into nutrient dense soil for planting seeds to grow food and learn to wood into food and simultaneously build soil for your veggie garden or food forest.
Are you concerned about the flimsy and fickle petroleum dependent industrial food system in light of certain imperialistic war racket events? If you are getting your food at the big box grocery stores, you should be. If its not the Iran situation, it will be something else, and these systems that feed so many will no longer able to be relied upon.
Instead of hoping some government will solve this problem for us, why not learn some basic skills that will allow you to take wind fallen logs (or log sections you can get for free from arborists or power company tree trimmers) inoculate them with gourmet and medicinal mushroom spawn, and then you will have access to nutrient dense food for years.
These logs can be stored outside or inside and you can even trigger the logs to produce mushrooms when you need them by soaking in cold water to simulate spring/fall fruiting cycles. There are not many forms of food preservation that can beat that in adaptability and versatility to a range of situations. Even if you do not have land or a community garden, you can inoculate the logs and then stash them in a guerilla mushroom farming spot in the woods (I do that myself so we have multiple locations to harvest from along with our logs at home and I place them near seasonal harvest locations for things like ramps, and I plant other perennial forest veggies and herbs there so I can harvest two things at once while enriching local ecology).

I believe James probably agrees with this analysis to some degree based off his 2d/3d chess board comments he made in the above video. If you did believe this what would be the point in doing some kind of deep dive on something that only makes sense on the 2d chess board when theres a whole lot of moves taking place on the 3d board that probably deserve our attention a lot more… all that being said I’m certainly not speaking on behalf of James, this is purely speculation.

I have been watching many YouTubes which seem to have been generated by AI. I don’t know where this is going, but I appreciate those YouTubes. They present detailed histories of specific circumstances, pulling together information which no human would know unless that human had researched a dissertation on the subject. For example one was about: What Eisenhower Knew but Kept Secret from McCarthy. AI can do this research cheaper than humans. These YouTubes would not be produced if humans had to be paid for the work, I think.
In the YouTubes the audio track, which consists of almost perfectly composed sentences, is accompanied by a sequence of pictures related to the audio. But the choice of pictures sometimes fails, I think, to correlate correctly with the audio track. Room for improvement.
