  1. 4:20 We used to write on students papers: RAWR – Right Answer, Wrong Reason

  2. I’m at the point where I’m just calling the digital ID system a human trafficking candidate registration.

  3. I’ve gone from VCR tapes to personal, off-line NAS boxes.

    • Thats the only way….home storage is stupid cheep these days vs the old.

i am super sad Optical media is almost extinct and hard drives on production machines are being deliberately shrunken to make people dependent on cloud storage…..it’s like keeping your food in someone else’s fridge

I know some one whi cant get their photos off their Apple phone and hasn’t taken a pic with a camera since 2015….ten years of photos that can go poof anytime wiyh no back up

  4. People who don’t take control of their own computer and store their own stuff are going to be reduced to the level of TV watchers soon….in N Korea I hear the play store is an actual shop you go to where they install apps on your phone and check your pictures- kinda like they do here but more open.

Soon you won’t be able to open unsigned documents or media on TPM protected machines…best buy a Raspberry Pi SBC and watch some YT about setting it up – even a total newbie can have fun doing it and learn computers easily

Long term storage is still a job for spinning Hard Disks…..SSD’s will lose data if you don’t power them on enough and wear out in weird ways. I have had HDD that have all their data after sitting on a shelf for 20 years.

You can store your stuff very simply and cheaply by buying a big (12TB or more) drive from Western Digital for cheep. You will probably have to “initialize” it and set up the file system on Linux you use Gparted or Gnome disks, YT “initialize hard disk” Will probably show you how.

Then you either put it in your PC or if your less techie (it’s pretty easy though) you buy a “hard disk docking station “ to sit it in and plug the USB auntie your computer- USE THE BLUE PORT IF YOU HAVE ONE because its way way faster. Putting the disk in your PC is even faster.

Amazon link below but their available elsewhere.
    https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-External-Duplicator-Function-EC-HD2B/dp/B0759567JT/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=18ZF2K378GMCJ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.EeEokji16e8ONmu08GCyaJo4i1AD7jOW9Kz4i0lCJykNO1h-AGY3-iNawhVPxJlfP_3qZJA32XEDjIsAfSY6iYoev2DdmzsseH1pgfpdQE8AN3VC677WiEqo8DGmGcwHZAq3gpcKh5gdGeRzyNScOM8zAiicuYiyPKujNhliGlyBReSCJpxbxgxy7CJ-hUzgp6FXE0MbhD6oi_PQLsA-sg.7swM3VfY74jhRQsvdYH7Uyrphyjo8jZp3J-fjpyBvr0&dib_tag=se&keywords=hard+disk+docking+station&qid=1753409696&sprefix=Hard+disk+dock%2Caps%2C289&sr=8-5

You shove the hard disk in and fill it with all your saved stuff.

Now you buy a 2nd one and copy the first disk and put one away in a safe place….really you should buy at least three.

I could tell folks to next build a NAS wiyh RAID

so that their data is safe if the hard drive fails and

    so you can access

    your files over the internet

    from anywhere

(an old PC will do the job but you can buy nice units then just put your own drives in) but anyone who is actually gonna do that doesn’t need my advice when

    YT is full of tutorials.

I recently put a lot of my old cold stored stuff on one hard drive at my offline PC and honestly I really do have enough Simons Cat videos and YouTube from years back that I can totally waste an evening watching junk without an internet connection. I also have all my audio books where I can find them and more ebooks (thanks IA and Anna!) then I will be able to read before I die.

  5. RE: Story #2: Age Verification…

On Thursday July 24, the following bizarre story appeared. And I can foresee where this type of thing might lead to mandated online IDs.

For those who don’t watch daytime TV… …Judge Jeanine Pirro gave the Press Conference about the story.
From 2008 to 2011, Pirro hosted a weekday television show entitled Judge Jeanine Pirro.
In 2025, she is United States attorney for the District of Columbia.

Arizona Woman Sentenced in $17M IT Worker Fraud Scheme That Illegally Generated Revenue for North Korea
‘Laptop Farm’ Deceived Fortune 500 Companies That Workers Were in the U.S.

    https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/pr/arizona-woman-sentenced-17m-it-worker-fraud-scheme-illegally-generated-revenue-north

    EXCERPTS
…North Korea has deployed thousands of highly skilled IT workers around the world, including the United States, to obtain remote employment using false, stolen, or borrowed identities of U.S. persons.
To circumvent controls employed by U.S. companies to prevent hiring illicit overseas IT workers, the North Korean IT workers obtain assistance from persons residing in the U.S…

… Chapman operated a “laptop farm” where she received and hosted computers from the U.S. companies in her home, so that the companies would believe the workers were in the United States.
Chapman also shipped 49 laptops and other devices supplied by U.S. companies to locations overseas, including multiple shipments to a city in China on the border with North Korea.
More than 90 laptops were seized from Chapman’s home following the execution of a search warrant in October 2023…

…Additionally, Chapman received and forged payroll checks in the names of the stolen identities used by the IT workers and received IT workers’ wages through direct deposit from U.S. companies in her U.S. financial accounts. Chapman further transferred the proceeds from the scheme to individuals overseas…

    • Myth20c did a thing about the internet “pirates of Silicon Valley” a while back and were at one point taking about how easy it is in the remote laptop age to get malign actors into key positions in tech companies.

It doesn’t take a lot to take down the internet or cripple a company’s servers. Interesting to see they were right.

    • I’ve seen similar stories being referenced across the internet. The jobs market has gone absolutely certifiably insane. I can only assume this is so by design.

  6. “exact right move for the exact wrong reason”

    It’s called ‘das racis’ progression.
It consists of doing something right using a ‘racist boomer conservative’ so that your woke rebel army will interpret it as wrong and adopt an inverse stance (UNESCO worship in this case).

  7. Topic: Perfect storage medium for the Corbett Report Data Archive: the M-disc

On the question which medium you can best use to store valuable information, my research led me to the M-disc. It’s extremely durable and can save your data for 1000 years.

You can store up to 100GB of data on a disc, which is playable by a DVD-player or Blue-ray player.

It sounds perfect to have as a durable option for the Corbett Report Data Archive. And it sounds pretty in line with the goals of preserving the digital Library of Alexandria.

Here is a link to the manufacturers of M-disc: https://www.mdisc.com/

    • I’d buy an M disk version.

But most people would need to then buy an external player for it.

  8. Story #2

“The Cultivation and Exploitation of Addiction”

Of course they’re going after porn and social media first. Consider the amount of time and resources they invested in cultivating these two addictions in particular. The intel crowd used quite a lot of its black budget money to launch and prop up the social media giants. Who knows if they ever actually became profitable, or if they were nonstop fraud and laundering ops. And the porn studios publsh their products for free – I don’t know how that business model works, but it seems like there must be some super shadowy sugar daddies in the mix. Porn was an early version of the digital companion. Digital partners don’t judge like fleshy people. People won’t give that up when all it costs is a few scans and clicks.

The seeds were sown long ago and fed steroids via routers and cell towers and satellites for many years. The addictions are so deeply engrained they’re considered just another part of “modern life.”

Talk about a return on investment.

Of course they’re going after porn and social media first. Mass adoption on day one. And days two through whenever someone feels the call because FOMO and limp biscuit syndrome, and real girls suck. Entire segments of the population going on in normie blissmode as if nothing were out of place. Normalcy bias is like a parasite. If enough hosts remain, the sweet stench attracts more hosts still. Before the end of the month, only those who are diligent about parasite cleanse protocols remain uninfected. Beta New World is born.

The Cultivation and Exploitation of Addiction.

    That’s all it takes.

Wash those hands, and don’t forget to scrub under the nails. Turpentine is your friend.

    • Glamdring
The “Hot Money” podcast by the FT did a season on the porn industry, though they kinda side stepped the presence of a certain ethnic group, that was pretty interesting.

Went though the fight with the payment processors (who control what can and cant go in porn)

Personally I don’t think there really is as much money in it as is said, and the money comes as you say from elsewhere…..porn is mainly a weapon and some one could bang one out every day until they die to free porn and never see the same stuff twice.

      Interesting pod though.

EM Jones wrote “Libido Dominandi” about how a bad ruling class debases its people to make them easy to control….sadly I doubt any law the UK passes will be enforced strongly against porn or pornographers.

      • I think the restrictions on pleb porn access could cause the industry to adapt.

Tina Turner – Private Dancer (Official Music Video) [4K Upgrade]

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4QnalIHlVc

        Lyrics –

        “Private Dancer”

Well, the men come in these places
And the men are all the same
You don’t look at their faces
And you don’t ask their names
You don’t think of them as human
You don’t think of them at all
You keep your mind on the money
Keeping your eyes on the wall

        I’m your private dancer
        A dancer for money
I’ll do what you want me to do
        I’m your private dancer
        A dancer for money
And any old music will do

I wanna make a million dollars
I wanna live out by the sea
Have a husband and some children
        Yeah, I guess I want a family
All the men come in these places
And the men are all the same
You don’t look at their faces
And you don’t ask their names

        I’m your private dancer
        A dancer for money
I’ll do what you want me to do
        I’m your private dancer
        A dancer for money
And any old music will do
        I’m your private dancer
        A dancer for money
I’ll do what you want me to do
        Just a private dancer
        A dancer for money
And any old music will do

        Deutsche Marks or dollars
American Express will do nicely, thank you
Let me loosen up your collar
Tell me, do you wanna see me do the shimmy again?

        I’m your private dancer
        A dancer for money
Do what you want me to do
        Just a private dancer

        ___________

        – and, as the OG EJ (Elton John) predicted, many of said “dancers” will, unfortunately but not unexpectedly, be rather tiny.

With strict controls via real-time web monitoring, the same people who have gotten away with similar crimes for decades will essentially have immunity by default. Scandals are so pedestrian.

        • Sure, but porn hat people need to actually pay for and go somewhere to get is much less harmful then piping it into everyone’s (not only the kids) pocket.

There will always be degenerates but normal people feel kinda icky going to the perv store and thus consume a lower, less leathal, dose of ick. Same with online grooming into Anorexia (that came before the Trans and gay stuff) …. Having an Electric Jew in your pocket 24/7 let’s all kinds of bad stuff into your mind all the time.

People still don’t realize how TV destoryed the world.

I read a funny book “notes from the Internet apocalypse “ where the internet went down and people were doing internet things in real life….mobs of people would force cats to do tricks or hang out in coffee shops “Redditing” to each other and there was the weird porn club where people special ordered stuff like “cuthulu furiously mastabating”

It was pretty funny, the two sequels were only meh.

          • <It was pretty funny, the two sequels were only meh.

Yes, just like the first Playboy I found at age 8. RIP, gramps.

Do they even print those anymore?

And where's Jackie Treehorn when we need such a hero?

            • I had to look that up since I never saw the movie, lol.

I am sure they still print porn mags…..I may even have indulged. But I recall a mate of mine who had a massive pile of them and we all thought he was a bit creepy where as now ever has an endless supply for free. Endless stimulation always needs more and more extreme stimulation to replace it….disordered passions, perverse passions, criminal passions and murderous passions always follow one from the other when the allowed to run free.

It’s funny that I thought it was normal to be able to buy porn mags from any paper shop but a generation before that it was something you had to dabble in criminality for. I wonder what zoomers who get into it will be up for? The UK had a gas mask fetish meme from the wartime generation and i kinda think zombies in media when kids are at “that age” will make necrophillia fetishism a lot more common. 🙁

I will have to get around to reading Desmond morris “human zoo” book , iirc he said that most animals in the wild dont di the weird behaviors they do in zoos and likened urban civilized life ti a zoo for humans. It’s certainly getting to be more like a CAFO then a free range farm and I know for a fact my semi feral chickens do things differently then CAFO abomination chickens.

              • Agreed on the CAFO part.

And how often do the upper management poll the interests of their livestock? How often do they ask for feedback and, if they received it, how would it guide their decision making process? Most likely, it would not be used to accomplish the goals and desires of the cattle. There are pharmaceutical fixes for such things.

I think that’s where this is leading.

Look at the mandatory digital ID decree in Mexico.

As the system gathers adherents, those adherents lose their value as individuals. Their voices are only now used against them. Any petition or resistance leads to being locked down in the digital world. Umbrella corporations are leading the way, and they profit off of every aspect of the game. For them, it’s a win win no matter what. Coke and Pepsi both make Larry Fink profits. So do the harms caused by these poisons. And the treatments. And the traumatized family members, their treatment is just as profitable.

Tokenization makes it possible. Betting on the various layers of outcomes which arise from a single action – this is the casino of the 0.01%. Betting on “futures” of the cattle kind.

“Place your bets, gentlemen, the pebble is about to be tossed into the pond of data.”

That’s the economics of the polycrisis era.

If I were an evil bastard, I would have been investing in Palantir, blockchain analysis companies, and the rest of the technocratic building blocks of the beast system. It’s so easy to predict where the money and attention flow.

It all shows that the economic models of the past are no more.

Rockefeller said, “competition is a sin.”

Welcome to a world without sin.

              • Duck!

                I appreciate the book recommendation.

Semi feral is not just a good state for chickens, you know.

Oddly enough, I happen to have some semi feral fowl on my property. I have no idea where they came from. Many ducks among them.

“Cracked corn crackheads,” I call the lot.

Not nearly as hard on the garden as chickens. And they don’t require any housing whatsoever. Not a bad arrangement.

            • Glamdring

I don’t read much fiction these days but if you like that kind of stuff the Draka series by SM Stirling are a pretty good alagory.

The ruling class has always tended to farm people, and I was just listening to whatifalthist latest on “everything is mate suppression” where he points out that when people get too civilized it’s always a lot of peasants and the rulers.

Maybe we regular folks need to think about rewilding ourselves more.

  9. Bonobo chimps reign in NWO.

  10. Hurray! Age verification has now kicked in in UK, Ireland and parts of the EU. Save the children. On X, children are now being shielded from harmful content such as seeing graphic images of children like them being smashed to pieces in Gaza by a country supported by the UK Government. https://x.com/evolvepolitics/status/1948817799171715255

    • Analog man

“….On X, children are now being shielded from harmful content such as seeing graphic images of children like them being smashed to pieces in Gaz…..”

You say that like it’s a bad thing….exposing kids to graphic images Is just a way of doing Traum-lite to their squishy little brains. Western kids are already f’d up enough as it is.

The kids in Gaza are gonnna get smashed to pieces IF KIDS HERE SEE IT OR NOT, and all in all “not” is better. It’s not like anyone’s is going to actually do anything about it in the west except whine anyway

There are plenty of things people would like to UNsee , in both real life and the internet. TBH horrible things don’t bother me personally, but thats a fault in my nature, and less horrible stuff getting into kids eyes and warping their souls is a good thing.

Kids should never be on the internet unsupervised and parents whi give their kids unfiltered internet access barely deserve the title

  11. This 300-Year-Old Letter Reveals the Pattern Wicked Men Use to Destroy a Country – Truthstream Media
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4NUgEtdrDY
Explains how the political system is designed by the corruption to uphold the corruption.
This was true 300 years ago, and is still going on.

  12. I recently got a message on my android phone. “Four years ago, you deleted 736 photos. Do you want to see them again?” With a “Recovery” button.

A bit reminiscent of ransom notes. “If you want to see your child again, please….”
And who (or whose bot?) is saving my trash anyway? I did not click the button, so I don’t know.

But anyway, it shows there may be hope. Big Brother is saving everything. Like every conversation that takes place within earshot (mic-shot?) of a smart phone. All we need is access and we can settle a lot of arguments. Such as:
    “That’s what I said.”
    “You did not.”
    “Did too.”
    “Did not.”
    loop

I still have CDs and DVDs. And USB drives. And I bought a little SSD a couple weeks back that claims to hold 30TB. Really? I used to have lots of laser discs (remember them?) but got rid of them, along with VHS and MDs (MiniDiscs). Funny thing. I used to author DVDs as part of my job, but never knew what the ‘angle’ streams were for till I heard this podcast.

    • “….And I bought a little SSD a couple weeks back that claims to hold 30T…..”

How much did you pay for it? THIRTY TB is awful big, is it a typo?

If you got it off eBay or Amazon for less then several grand you probably got one with hacked firmware that lies and then just keeps overwriteing as you go past it’s real capacity.

There are lots of USB and SsD and SD cards wiyh hacked firmware in Amazon. If you want to be sure it’s what it says it is your best buying off the well known manufacturer (like I do WEstern Digital)

A Spininhbhard drive with 30 TB would be pretty easy ti get, even an external one

  13. These comments were very interesting to me, starting with Venticus’ referring to NAS boxes.
A lot of it was over my head, but I do know I need help with my computer.

    • So I started googling these terms, which were new to me, and ran into SSD, HDD, and Hot storage and Cold Storage. I definitely need help.

      • Part one

SSD = a new hard drive that uses chips instead of a magnet disk. More expensive then HDD and MUCH faster but the memory cells wear out so you should leave space (it copies data to other storage space when it’s sitting around.
Also must be plugged in from time to time or database”fades”.
GOOD to carry around in your pocket or for your computer (fast)

        HDD = hard disk drive
Spinning disk covered with magnetic material.
Cheep bill storage, lasts a long time (you check it via the SMART app if you want), and does NOT need to be plugged in except when you want to access data.
        Bad = slower data in/out.
A little bit Fragile- dont ever move one until you’ve let the disk stop spinning.

NAS = “network attached storage” – a computer (normally wiyh RAID) that you store your stuff and “serve” it into your home network or onto the internet
You can set one up via “open NAS” or buy a unit and put your own HDD’s into it.
They can be a bit pricey if you buy a unit, cheep if you re purpose an old PC.

DAS = a NAS thats NOT on the network, you just plug into PC via USB (direct attached storage)

RAID = a bunch of drives (normally HDD) in a computer that are set up so that they copy a file across several disks. If one disk dies you insert a new one and the PC “re-assembles” the data that was on the broken drive.
GOOD for keeping your data even when disks fail.
Bad that it can be a wee bit complex and you might end up loosing it all if you do a brain fart move…..You CAN buy a NAS thats does RAID for you.
Bad- you need more drive space then you will need able to use (soace used to store the reconstruction data you use re making the data on the dead drive)

Hot/cold storage = “I” use it as cold when a back up drive is packed away and stored and “hot” when I put it into a computer and actually use it. That may just be me, lol.

        NOTE
If your a not techie and want a NAS you ought to just buy one…you will need to buy drives for it

You can look up Open NAS on YT and also “Jellyfin” if you want to make your own home version of Netflix.

      • Part 2

You CAN just buy a desktop “external drive” and USB plug in drive and sit it on your desktop. Buy at a real store or off the company website- I like Western Digital and have had good luck with them.

That’s all you REALLY need to do if you don’t want to mess with tech….two drives with the same data on both is better.

I like to use “internal” HDDs in a docking station or in a PC.

To get started storing data like that you can just buy a HDD docking station (will also fit SSD’s as the plugs are the same) and buy two drives.

Every thing should be stored on at least two drives at the same time incase if drive failure….one goes somewhere else in a cool dry place free if dust (use the anti static bag)

THIS guy shows some external HDD stuff….again, if you’re not techie minded you might want to just go with a USB external drive.

An external drive is FINE for MOST PEOPLE

DONT move it about when running until it’s turned off and sat long enough to stop spinning and it will last fine probably.

    • Someone else mentioned M-Disc but I couldn’t find the original post, but here’s an overview

      https://www.pcworld.com/article/2015499/storing-data-long-term-m-disc-best-method.html

I’m no expert so I’ll be looking forward to what others have to say on this.

In the physical realm, I have an ecotank inkjet printer and those things are incredible. No cartridges, buy the ink in bulk and pour it in the tank. Archival quality paper isn’t very expensive when purchased in bulk. Storage space is another matter…

      • M disk is the “indestructible” version of the DVD optical disk.

Optical disks are generally made with vegetable dye which discolors and rots (esp when kept in a humid environment) so the disk looses data. This is why you get “disk rot” on some old DVD movies or CDs. M disk just uses better materials that should last “a thousand years” (or your money back?? Lolol)

I don’t think ports changing will matter much because you can almost always get adapters – I still use a lot of old ass VGA monitors via HDMI adapters. USB to USB-c or whatever they go over to will probably be available for decades

Onndisk rot – I have 20 plus year old DVD and CD disks I burned and they’re fine…..it’s how they are stored thats the big issue most of the time.

most computers dont have optical drives anymore (shame) and you must either install one yourself or buy a USB dvd drive and plug it in to use.

The issue is that most people won’t bother buying an extra bit of hardware (even an external HDD) and use their machines “as is”

  14. Thanks for your replies.
I still am going to have to visit my local Vietnamese Computer repair shop, but it is the thought that counts.

    but I digress

    31 March 2002
    >Ramallah, West Bank – Porn movies and programmes in Hebrew are being broadcast by Israeli troops who have taken over three Palestinian television stations of Ramallah, irate residents of the besieged West Bank town said on Saturday

    >The soldiers started broadcasting the porn clips – considered extremely offensive by most Muslims – intermittently on Saturday afternoon from the Al-Watan, Ammwaj, and Al-Sharaq channels, the residents said.

Also I don’t know about you but the protesting (or lack of?) in this article seems telling

    >Midan Voice explained that whenever someone tried to present “the facts about the role of the Jews in porn,” they were shut down with antisemitism as the excuse.

    So what we know
    >professors unable to post up speeches of Nazi leaders
    >we’re told by people at the top you can still get to consume porn if you jump through a hoop

Like the both of you I believe this is just a means towards an end for the big wigs but I don’t think they have any intention of going after porn. Its their favourite pacifier

    • “….but I don’t think they have any intention of going after porn. It’s their favourite pacifie….”

Sadly true – it’s not just Jews whi worked that out, but they do appear to have perfected the art (“libido dominandi” by EM Jones)

Mexico has a Jewish president…weird for a catholic country. Fink is Jewish, weird how that ethnicity is over represented in certain fields.

E M Jones of Culture wars magazine wrote the “Jewish Revolutionary Spirit” which pretty much documents in agonizing detail how the last hundred years of western history make no sense if you don’t take into account the Jewish interest bloc.

They have always loved selling intoxicants and debasements to the goy…. The fact that they have become “visible” again and people are able to say the obvious is itself interesting.

      • “Jewish Revolutionary Spirit”
One book I want when it comes out has to be 200 years together. No official English translation (I hear 2026) out yet but if the unofficial version I’ve seen is correct then Solzhenitsyn did a masterful job. Very balanced, cut and dry.
        Nice to meet you Duck.

        • Nice to meet you too 🙂

It’s not an official translation but Pete Quinoes on the “Pete quinones show” podcast has been reading 200 years with Dr Johnson ….its multiple hours of reading and commentary.

What I heard was good but that was just the early chapters.

  16. We are already being trained in real life here. Try to purchase alcohol, and most workers will “instinctively” [Pavlovian-style] try to take your I.D. to scan it. Object and the majority become soulless automatons who’ll refuse to sell 43-year-olds wine for their 20th anniversary!
