President Trump went from wanting a peace prize to wanting to invade Venezuela?
Um, was that a photo op or something? How were we able to hear her voice when dude had his headset on? If I’m not mistaken, when you wear a headset, the audio is heard through the headset, not on the speaker. Am I out of the loop of modern tech? Did I miss something? Makes me think of that oopsy with Kamala and her cell phone photo op. Correct me if I’m off base.
I was thinking the exact same thing, Nana… The sound out of the phone (which should’ve been through the head set, as you said), seemed far too loud and clear to be coming from a phone speaker and then into a video recording/sound device. And could the dialog seem more canned? It’s hard to believe anything nowadays (except, of course, that the people in charge are idiotic psychopaths and worse).
I suspect there was a direct wired connection from the phone signal to the audio recording device used for that video. Further, that the gentleman making the call had a headset on was, in part, to avoid problems with the phone loudspeaker being heard in his microphone. I’m an audio engineer who has often dealt with this kind of situation. Phone connections can sound very good these days, if the proper equipment is used for recording.
sorry but of course it’s a photo op. what’s strange about that? did you think you supposed to think someone had filmed it for personal reasons and then leaked it? to me it just seemed like one of the ways in which they publicise the giving of the award. the headphones were a slightly weird unnecessary touch though, i agree about that. but heh unnecessary weirdos is kind of a major theme with the whole set up right!

Thank you so much, John, for this note! Your introduction of the Nobel Peace Prize sure made me laugh! But I was having lunch alone when I started watching this note, and was forced to leave the fork aside when the “Secretary of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, Kristian Bergarpyken,” almost in tears himself, informed the lady of her new global title! My stomach is too sensitive! The day this was made public, dozens of Latin American friends cheered on social media, yeay!! I know most are well-meaning, but I still am intolerant to ignorance; however, I only shared thoughts with the few, very few, eyes-wide-open people around me. Chavez negotiated with big oil, later on, Maduro did the same and, I guess, included diamonds and all the fatal minerals a country can have to be destroyed by, sorry, the big white hand (not little w hite hands, just to clarify). I imagine Maria Corina and her gang want to take over that share once and for all!
