Well, that didn’t take long. No sooner had the metaphorical ink dried on my New World Next Year prediction that 2026 would be the “Year of the Storm” than the storm in fact began.
Specifically, it began in the form of a spectacular overnight raid on January 2, 2026, that resulted in the successful abduction of former Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
And now, all hell’s broken loose.
But don’t take it from me. Take it from German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier (better known to non-Germans as “who the hell is that guy?”). Remarking on the spectacular events of the past week, he has opined that Trump and the US are now destroying the very post-WWII world order that the US helped create.
Hmm. If I didn’t know better, I’d say a New World Order is in the offing. Now who could have possibly predicted that?
So, what the hell does all this really mean? Good question. Let’s answer it, shall we?

In 1968, having made a bee-line to Haight-Asbury, ground zero of the culture shift, I immediately learned that the whole thing was more of a dystopia than a Nirvana paradise. Something was REALLY off, compared to the story we were fed. But I didn’t have the gravitas and the experience to act on my misgivings until the imminent birth of our first child in ’74. I wanted so badly to believe in the romanticizing and mystification of the drug culture. (I did completely avoid being taken in by the political left that was trying to take over then). On the University campuses, this destructive paradigm was mostly pushed by fellow students, though the indirect direction of Government and Media became apparent, especially in hindsight.
The prevailing sentiment was that drug use would not only straighten out all of your anxieties and misconceptions about life, but make you a superior and more spiritual being. The idea of ‘take a pill for every ill’ still bedevils our society.
All this too say, our current situation of moral decline and scams is directly traceable to that first great ‘youth revolution’ in my own life, without need for scholarly study. It has been going on for many decades and has strong deep roots. Of course you can choose any starting point to make an analysis, but the mid 60’s is a perfect, viable starting point for many essays.
It’s all about Epstein and his friends; government closure for 43(?) days, sabre rattling and small wars, stirring up civil unrest in the US.

For some time I was thinking (wishful) that Russia wasn’t going for digital ID, digital money and all the other global agenda goals, as you mentioned more than once. Does anyone else feel like the world (or matrix, or whatever the hell ‘this’ is) has been moved to another place or timeline or whatever? I remember an old Twilight Zone episode (“People Are Alike All Over) where a man who lands on Mars gets a harsh reality… “Martians recreate his Earth home in immaculate detail. As he revels in the hospitality, a massive curtain pulls back to reveal that the flawless replica is actually a zoo enclosure, displaying Conrad as a captive “Earth creature.”
Anyways, to me, the moon doesn’t look like it did when I was a kid. The stars and sun seem more like LED lights than space bodies. Everything good seems to have been inverted into hellish situations. People all seem like distant strangers, even people I was once close with (like pod people or NPCs). Trust is nil.
