As you know by now,ย Reportage is now one year old. As you also know, Tim Lacy, publisher of the English edition ofย Reportage was in town recently to discuss plans for the book and for the Editions Shukutou imprint. As you didn’t know until now, in addition to the concise video we recorded and publicly posted in honour of that momentous occasion, weย also recorded a more informal, zanier, subscriber exclusive conversation about fridge magnets, book cakes and wardrobe malfunctions.

Great news that Tim Lacy is staying in Kanagawa-gen. That is my stomping ground. Tim, you have chosen a brilliant spot – home of the Enoden, eboshi rock and the Southern All Stars. You canโt possibly go wrong!
I was online and I saw this short video that claimed that the worldโs population is actually significantly lower than the reported 8.3 billion number, as countries like India and China and some African countries intentionally inflate their population numbers so they can obtain more funding and resources from organizations like the IMF, World Bank, etc. I wanted to post this here to see if anyone had any insights on the veracity of this, especially since if true, it would prove the whole overpopulation myth even more nonsensical.
I, too, have seen such reports and it is my understanding that there are around 3 and a half billion people on this plane. If I find any links, I will post them here.
That video without subtitles and the beginning noise made it zero content. After the noise stopped still no subtitles. Are they difficult and expensive to be available?
