Aside from flashlights (real ones not the one on a phone) and bottled water if you have access to twigs and fry leaves folks might want to keep a Kelly Kettle (aka “storm kettle”) around because it can have a pint of water boiled in a couple of min burning anything from pine needles to oak twigs and leaves. It is Remarkably fast getting a boil.
I have one and it’s pretty awesome and way safer then an open fire…you can use it on a Balcony if your stupid enough to live in a big city.

You should have a water filter (life straw at the least) and a barrel or bottled water because the water system probably depends on electricity to pump/ or clean.
Dont burn wood pallets or other pressure treated wood unless you like arsenic ( you may pre-embalm your own corpse, lol) same with bits of furniture that have varnish and such.
I’m fully confident that these “rolling blackouts” are something the public at large is going to get conditioned into accepting as normal and inevitable, even.
That way we may forgo those paltry things we have grown accustomed to (as well as the related positive side effects using of) such as heating, cooling and refrigeration; and we can, instead, concentrate on things that really make us well, like vaccines and “vaccines”.

Important distinction.
Just a comment on the first story about the Net Zero blackout… I live offgrid and when there is too much Sun…i.e. more that I can consume or store in my batteries. you know what happens? Absolutely nothing… the generation just stops.
People need to realize that it’s typically not about the elements of any system (whether it be Net Zero or AI/Tech)… it’s about those in control of those systems… Self empowered individuals or sociopathic control freaks pushing an agenda.
In my offgrid case, I am in control of my PV and batteries… not the grid operators and their overlords… I do not have a grid connection. When the grid goes down… I have power… that is resilience.
As you said, the time to ensure you are resilient is before the lights go out.

Free will as a delusion is not my idea, it is a natural outcome of circumstance within the frame work of a syntax that assumes agency.

You likely have batteries (electrical,thermal) along with your panels. They offer stability. With these large installations it’s questionable what they are building. Stability is obviously not a goal in their designs.
What may be questionable is what happens with temperatures if PV would like the current to run but the grid can’t take it. These are large, likely terribly built installations we are talking about.
Just now on the “The Climate Realism show” they were explaining that they quickly went from “we have more solar than we can use” to “we don’t have enough and there are no sources to cover the difference”.

regarding the blackout, a French engineer specializing in these networks maintains that the blackout is a matter of big money, when too much photovoltaic is produced the purchase prices of this electricity become negative and this is what happened, so instantly all industrial producers of photovoltaic stopped producing in order not to lose money … another EU curse !

There was some weird synchronicity going on in my neck of the woods (Ontario/Quebec) vis-a-vis the Spain blackout.
My neighborhood was without power for 24 hours, the next day, the longest I’ve ever lost power.

There is something off about Ricky Verandis, he’s a soft push buy design or by ignorance. I know you have a relationship with him JC, but something is off. I have this fat book from the Institute of Medicine, Veterans and Agent Orange – Heath Effects of Herbicides Used in Vietnam and it says “The different types of herbicides used by U.S. forces in Vietnam were identified by a code name referring to the color of the band around the 55 gallon drum that contained the chemical. These included Agents Orange, White, Blue, Purple, Pink, and Green. From 1962 to 1965, small quantities of Agents Purple, Pink, and Green were used. From 1965 to 1970, Agents Orange, White, and Blue were employed, and from 1970 to 1971, only Agents White and Blue were used in the defoliation program.(Young and Reggiani, 1988)”
In a chart it says that Agent Purple was for general defoliation. Agent Blue (Phytar 560-G) was for rapid defoliation, grassy plant control, and rice destruction. Agent Pink, defoliation. Agent Green, crop destruction. Agents Orange and Orange II, general defoliation. And Agent White (Tordon 101) was for forest defoliation and long-term control.
