Why would anyone buy a new car after this year? It seems to me that the value of older cars is going to go up, perhaps even to the point where they are worth more than new cars. I refuse to own anything newer than a 2012 because of the black box they put in after that date. I brag about my 1995 Dodge Ram Cummings Diesel not having a computer chip in it, and my 2012 Jeep not having a camera in it. The Diesel will continue to run even if we get hit with a EMP bomb. The Government would make it illegal but they don’t want a bunch of old guys starting a Revolution. All you have to do these days is threaten their bottom line and they tend to leave you alone. I suppose that will all change after they kill off the low hanging fruit.
How much are people paying to be spied on by these Smart Phones? Most people are addicted to them and thus they are slaves who are manipulated in order to manipulate the markets. It’s like eating poison food, the more one eats, the more likely they are to eat more and more until they die. Great depopulation plan for somebody that would want to do that kind of thing, eh!

I know a guy that refurbishes really old cars and trucks that I installed a garden for and i`m thinking of looking at his inventory for when our current car dies.
I abhor even the thought of getting a new(er) car. My 2008 punto is a relatively laughable vehicle, but it’s quite simple and cheap to maintain. I’ll have to invest a bit to bring it up to date, but the bigger problem than the investment is finding someone who’s willing to perform the work. I try to do as much as I can these days. Services rendered are getting poorer with every passing day.

That is another good take on the Staged Event. Perhaps the Secret Service is looking for a raise, or better yet some dirty dealing Republicans were looking for a way to make the Democrats look bad prior to Election time. Or, perhaps it’s just another Diversion Event to take attention away from the latest war of aggression that does not seem to be going so well. How many times did Trump say he won that war? The latest I am hearing from the other side is that millions of protesters are raising up in Iran against their Government. My sources tell me different, yet I have a friend that seems to be very confident that it is true.

I think Corbett hit the nail on the head when he said that the Federal Government will likely use this Staged Event to push for TSA or some other Brown Shirt type agency to do pat downs on people traveling by train.
We are seeing 15 Minute Cities getting funding with Data Centers built up around them so that people can be tracked more closely. The control freaks that control the Governments of the world want to be able to identify everyone that rents a car, travels on a Plane or a train with video cameras. This allows them to sort out those that do not follow their rules, while the Oligarchs, will of coarse travel anywhere they want in Private Planes, Private Yachts, and Limousines bound by no rules.

As a railroad employee that works essentially on call all the time, I regularly take work calls when I’m short rested in the middle of the night. What happens when my car decides I’m “too tired” to drive to work at 2am? So I just get fired? Guess I’ll only be buying extremely old cars for the rest of my life.
Has anyone heard of the federal and state laws working their way thru the system regarding age verification FOR YOU OPERATING SYSTEM?
Basically a digital ID for using the Internet if it actually carries thru although there is a fair chance it won’t this time. People might want to look at the way North Korea is said to operate mobile phones and watermark docs or refuse to open unapproved files.
In regards to the NPR story about left/right conspiracy theories, this is how they have obliterated the ones who challenge narratives. If you challenged narratives they used to just call you a conspiracy theorist. Now we have entered an age where we see that we were right, and they know it. So what do they do? Take the power away from the researchers and the ones who called out the “conspiracies” by making it all mainstream. Now that Netflix and NPR are covering it who needs to listen to listen to some fringe guy with less than 10,000 followers? And of course the version told by Netflix will leave out the most substantial elements, controlling the narrative…

I have not had a chance to read the Freedom Day article yet (as I have barely had enough time to water the over 200 nut tree seedlings I started in my yard for a food forest project much less read all the publications I would like to) so I may end up yet reading it and having a life changing experience! (just wanted to let you know that) 🙂
In all seriousness though, I do know what you mean about not knowing what will be popular with people. On substack I am seeing long form essays getting drastically less engagement and pictures or short videos of something pretty looking in nature with little blurbs getting a thousand people commenting. Its an uphill battle with the intentionally crippled attention span and precipitously diminishing cognitive functions of the LLM addicted, twitter/tiktok plugged in masses, but every now and then I get an email from a single mom or some young person trying to find their way that tells me how my essay really inspired them to do something real in their life (to cultivate food sovereignty, divest in statist regimes and/or develop ecological awareness) and that compels me to keep on writing.
I hope you do the same.

It’s also happening that platforms are pushing the short form content more than anything else. It’s pretty much a closed loop at this point. Swill is being pushed at the viewers, viewers consume the swill (in large quantities), more swill is being pushed onto the viewers.

Yes, good point, for those that are into the endless scrolling type engagement the algorithms pick and choose what to feed them over and over. I sometimes forget that is how many (if not most) people interact with the internet, blogs and social media as I typically just read the publications I signed up for via email and I ignore what algorithms try to shove in my face.
Substack is becoming very algorithm dominated as more and more twitter type users get on there and just mostly do the notes section.
For instance, I posted this pic ( https://substack.com/@gavinmounsey/note/c-246101211 ) I took in the forest of three Red Trilliums at the base of a tri-stemmed Maple Tree and it gets 500 people engaging with it (via algorithmic boosting for what ever reason) but then I took a couple weeks writing this article ( https://gavinmounsey.substack.com/p/wild-alliums-the-foragers-secret ) on that same forest habitat (with many pictures and info on how to access food and medicine in the forest) and it gets maybe 30 people engaging.
The article requires 30 – 50 min reading and provides practical info that could increase people’s resilience while also increasing biodiversity in the forest, but the picture with no practical application that takes one second to engage with is favored.
I see spaces that once encouraged engaging with long form essay and article content like Substack going downhill (and dragging the cognitive function and attention span of many of their superficial users downhill with them).
People inferact with youtube similarly to how they interact with TV. They turn it on and watch whatever is airing.
Sometimes I observe people and wonder about how does it feel to have no preferences. The whole world at their fingertips and they consume whatever is queued up.

As always thank you James Corbett and thanks to James Pilato. I’ve been a long time supporter of both of you and your work. It’s really impressive how language can be used to disguise things yet when that strategy is known, it’s quite easy to decipher.
It’s devasting to think about the encroachment on surrendering freedom for safety sake. Perhaps discussing the turmoil of the staged event with Trump does broadcast a beacon so others aren’t capitivated by fear. It’s even more credulous to know how the corporate system, be it with companies or governments, is being setup to take freedom away without it being considered.
Beyond the praise and adulations though, I want to commend everyone who’s centered around this idea that reality is bigger than what we’re told to believe. The truth is beyond words and all of us feel this.
As is tribulated with the conundrum of how to resolve what’s being seen, stay vigilent. Both of you, and those with us, make the effort not seen in the mainstream world count and it is a ground I for one am building from. Kudos

SANTA FE, N.M. – The parent company of social media platforms Facebook and Instagram is threatening to cut off access in New Mexico over demands made by New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez.
Meta, which owns those platforms and others such as WhatsApp, claimed in court documents that some of the changes requested by the State are “impractical” or even “impossible” in some cases.
This stems from a lawsuit Torrez filed against the tech giant claiming they didn’t do enough to protect children from predators on their platforms, and they knowingly made their products addictive.
A jury in Santa Fe ruled last month that Meta has to pay $375 million in penalties as a result of those failures.
The next phase of the legal battle
Now, the next phase of this battle is set to start Monday when a bench trial begins in which the State of New Mexico is seeking what’s known as “injunctive relief” against Meta. In other words, a judge will be asked to rule on what reforms or changes Meta has to make and if they owe any more in penalties.
Torrez says he is looking for changes such as strict age verification, permanent bans for predatory adults, independent oversight of Meta’s platforms, safer recommendation algorithms, and more.
“This would be a truly historic moment for a district court to order those kinds of measures and to have Meta create a new standard for child safety, not only in our state, but I think create a blueprint for how that company would be expected to operate,” said Torrez.

But Meta claims in court documents and in a statement to KOB 4 that many of those demands aren’t reasonable and that could mean they’ll have to stop providing access to their platforms in New Mexico. A spokesperson provided the following response to KOB 4:
“Despite Attorney General Torrez’s claims, the State’s demands are technically impractical, impossible for any company to meet and disregard the realities of the internet. In targeting a single platform, the State ignores the hundreds of other apps teens use, leaving parents without the comprehensive support they actually deserve. While it is not in Meta’s interests to do so, if a workable solution to Attorney General Torrez’s demands is not reached, we may have no choice but to remove access to its platforms for users in New Mexico entirely.”…

Imagine that the sun would not rise on New Mexico’s eastern horizon if META doesn’t get their way. Well , some how in the dark a safe and effective replacement will fill the vacuum, you can count on that. The Attorney General and all of New Hexico citizens , who have any balls , should just say adios to META and see what NEW thing steps in. It may be dark for no more than a single day. This is a great opportunity. But for WHO? Freedom for security never is a win. The hex is on the addiction . Whatever comes is going to be addictive by nature of the beast. Yesterday, I was in a small town’s chain grocery store where they had a 2-for-1 sale on beef…but you had to have the store’s ap. I picked up the items and went to ask the customer service lady how to get the discount without downloading the ap on my phone. She tried to convince me that the company would never sell my data. Eventually, she showed me a store QR (Quick Response) code that I could scan at checkout.

I did not scan with my phone which I did not even have with me. I scanned the QR with the store’s barcode scanner or a POS (Point of Sale) scanner which reads the Universal Product Code (UPC) on items.
They are not in line with enslavement, but they are in line, fully, with extremely comfortable living. They are ready to be marched off into gulags, as long as they get free WiFi over there.
“AI” is being used considerably, especially in so called education. Essentially, lessons are prepared by it, seminars are written with it and tests are being both prepared for teachers and completed for students by the omniscient source of truth (TM).
I have implemented some methods to make it at least a bit difficult for students to use it. GPT is daft in many regards and it can be exploited, somewhat.
If you have an android phone, I would recommend LibreTube for youtube. It’s essentially a frontend. I have no google software (past android itself :D) on my phone.

I am planning to start leveraging “AI” to produce thought provoking memes. But, lo and behold, LLMs will refuse many peasant requests, everything that is deemed “unsavory”. I wanted to create a meme building on the theme of government, pedophilia and Epstein. Wouldn’t you know it, the bot straight out refused. It claimed I’m trying to mock/abuse children. When I removed pedophilia and Epstein from the equation, it played ball. Then I tried to sneak Epstein back in and, hold on to your pants, it flat out refused. Because “child safety”. What the hell did that rascal have to do with children? According to the mainstream, nothing, right?
That’s why I am mucking about with running LLMs locally, which is a bit problematic considering my ancient hardware. There are uncensored models floating around that have these artificial limitations stripped out.

Forget driverless cars, it’s now carless drivers (or drivers with cars that forbid them to drive). My wife’s urging for a donkey and cart to replace our ageing car looks a little more attractive now.
