  1. I’m so sorry for your loss

    • Love the short documentary about the Japanese version of Reportage and its collaborators. 🙏

  2. BTW the video RSS XML is malformed.

  3. So cool watching you listen to him speaking Japanese, reflecting the reality that you are bilingual which can be forgotten as your reports are always in English.

Matur nuwun kanggo kabeh kerja kerasmu.

  4. What a warm and positive episode! Delightful throughout.

I really enjoyed Corbett’s turn-about phone interview with Jimakudaio!

I want to encourage everyone to read Jimakudaio’s interview with James Corbett.
A tremendous amount of well-expressed wisdom lies in that write-up.

  5. This was a very enjoyable episode. What a story about Dr Blues. Truly moving.
So sorry for the loss of your friend.
    Congratulations on Reportage in Japanese.

  6. He said it was a very long time ago, 2016. Time must move differently over there. That was just yesterday, over here.😏

    Congratulations James.

I would like to see the book jacket text translated to English.
    Thanks

    • Hanky, that’s a good idea. Not only is the cover art a vast departure from Reportage, a lot of the tag lines are different as well. So, here is what the Japanese says:

Front Cover: This Is the Global Manipulation System That Transcends the Deep State; By James Corbett, Translated by Jimaku-Daio; You don’t need guns [weapons] —perception alone is enough to rule the world.; The battlefield is no longer nations, but human “perception.” The greatest war in human history has already begun!

      Back Cover:
Behind every nation lies a network that transcends borders. This book explores the mechanisms behind the scenes to reveal the structure of “cognitive domination” that pervades the modern world. Is the reality you believe in truly something that arose naturally? The war has already begun. And the battlefield is inside your head. “The Matrix” isn’t just a movie—it’s happening right now.

The bonus long interview with the author included in the Japanese edition is a must-read.

“The very person you’re avoiding or ignoring today might be the one who saves your life tomorrow.”
“As long as the human spirit endures, tyrants will ultimately be overthrown.”

  7. He looked like a swell gentleman. By sheer osmosis of being, I am also sorry for the loss and I hope his family knows that if he was able to have this effect on James and others, his loss also affects me. A loss of one of our own. I wish him well in the next life.

  8. James, Your youtube thumb nail is pretty funny all those samurai folks raising their swords at the book 🙂

  9. James Corbett for sale at Kinokuniya is so incredible 💕

  10. Corb, thank you for making last Monday such a memorable event. I know Yoshi’s spirit was happy. And congratulations to you and Jimaku-san on the launch of Reportage JP. Can we just call it that from now?!

The look on your face at Kinokuniya when you first saw the book displayed there on the shelf, it was one of pure joy and delight. BTW subscribers, I hadn’t told James that it was on sale there. I didn’t want to spoil the surprise.

    Always on your side,

    Brian

  11. I got a chuckle out of the translator’s pen name: Jimakudaiou, 字幕大王, meaning “the great [movie] subtitles king”.

  12. Summer reading has never been better. Along with Reportage the summer reader should enjoy more on the state of the world today with A good read by Dr. Joseph Sansone.
Psychopathic Authoritarianism: A Disease of the Soul :

Applying the Dark Tetrad of Sadism, Narcissism, Machiavellianism, and Psychopathy in this unique framework, toward individual and societal systems, together, these four traits form the psychological profile of the psychopathic authoritarian, a type of individual who has appeared in every culture and every century, rising to power through manipulation, cruelty, and the systematic exploitation of human weakness.

So ,get off the phone and grab a book !
