  1. Good launch, James! Reportage is a terrific read! It is a verbal picture of you.

  2. I’m living in Chiba and can’t make it down to Osaka unfortunately as much as I’d love to! I don’t suppose anyone that is attending could grab me a copy? I will pay of course and cover the postage to Chiba. Thanks if possible. And best of luck James! I look forward to reading it one day.

  3. I have bought and read the book and I like its tone. It has Top Gun tone! Sorry I can’t be there as it would be a threefer… meeting you, Broc and Sean aka a Hat Trick! Well just another Hockey Night in Canada miss… Best on the book launch and best regards to Osaka… home of Expo 1970 back in the (my) day and 2025 Expo world’s fair!

  4. I’m confident this is going to be one fine event. Hopefully we are going to get a video reportage from the ground… I’m here all week, folks.

    • Awesome @mkey! An historic event to be a part of for sure. Enjoy your week in Japan 🙂

      • I see much gets lost in translation. I was making a joke regarding the word “reportage” and since I expected it to fall flat, I closed with “I’m here all week” as any comedian who’s no stranger to flat jokes would.

Sadly, I’m several hundred thousand yen far from where I could spend them.

        • Ah, it was the “I’m here all week” part that threw me. Likewise, I’m hoping for video “reportage” of the auspicious event. 😉

          • haha ya me too! Anyone that has vids or pics from the event please share!

  5. I’m so happy and excited for you!
Reportage is a great book, I wish I could have a signed, numbered, hard copy.
The people who can make it to this event in Osaka are so lucky! I wish I could have made it there.

    • I have to say it’s a fine feeling to have a signed copy of this excellent book.

The good feeling is, however, contrasted by infuriating rage that percolates my body over the damage the book has sustained thanks to the brutish handling of the local postal service. It isn’t torn but banged up nicely. To add insult to injury, they charged me for their services.

I guess these type of grievances are only some of the methods the universe uses to paint a gruesome picture of the reality we chose and choose for ourselves.

I seldom order anything from across the pond as I get heaving fits over the very thought of paying the state extorsion and racket department, but in this case I had to make an exception. And, in the long run, I’m glad that I did.

      • It happens, but at least it arrived!
I know it’s a bummer when the postal service delivers something in damaged condition, but, consider this…now you have a copy you can make notes in. You can highlight paragraphs. You can stick post-it notes in it. You can dog ear it. You can break the spine.
You can thoroughly enjoy and consume this book as it was meant to be read.
Then you can buy another one to keep in pristine condition.
I love my copy of Reportage. I sleep with it on my pillow next to my head. It is so good.

        • Those are all good points, thanks. I don’t sleep with mine, but I leave such decisions to each individual’s discretion.

        • I hear ya @Iamfreeiamme
My hardcover copy is strictly for the bookshelf only and will not be leaving my house… unless in my own possession. 🙂
Self-imposed rules of strictly no tea slurping or snacking when reading it – requiring great self-discipline. I’ll be ordering several paperback versions as gifts, and one for lending out, and one further to keep that I can write notes into.

  6. Absolutely fantastic book James, just finished reading it. I’ve never considered myself an avid reader and rarely read a book from cover to cover but this one I honestly had a hard time putting down. Thank you for all you do James.

Unfortunately Osaka isn’t in the cards for me at the moment. I’m sure its going to be a grand time though. Congrats buddy! Really hope it goes well, take care!

  7. Congrats James. I’m sure it will be a great event.
Just ordered a copy online. Looking forward to reading it. Enjoy the book launch.

  8. TimeandDate.com reliably tells me it’s 1:31pm in Osaka… I’m imagining the conference room door opening… let the merriment commence! 🙂
All the best for the launch of Reportage James & co. Have a fab afternoon 🙂

  9. Just got back from Osaka. James, I think your book launch was a complete success. The Deck was an excellent choice – a very comfortable venue. The preview video that Broc put together about a certain seed bank left the audience shaking their heads in disbelief. And then your reading from Reportage made me realize how much thought, passion and diligent research you’ve actually poured into this 15-year labor of love. Amazing. C’est votre moment de briller.
Bravo, Blessings, and Kudos on Reportage.

    • @NohMaskChannel

Hey brother! If James did not have anyone doing this, did you get any pictures or record any video at the event?

Speaking of seeds! Are you starting any yourself? 🙂 And what kind of germination rates are you getting if so?

      Wishing you bountiful spring harvests.

    • @NohMaskChannel

Actually now that I think of it, I think I remember seeing something about Broc going to that event too, so I bet he recorded some of it and James likely has some of his own footage he will share here for everyone.

I`ll just wait for that 🙂

  10. I’ve decided I won’t leave the house without a copy of Reportage anymore, to show other people and advise them to read it.
Despite its heavy topics it is a very entertaining read, and only about 300 pages, so very manageable.

I’ve already bought 5 copies to give away/lend out.

I loved the book and am hopeful for its (potential) impact in the real world.

    Great work, James.

    • @Greg Tides

Carrying around hard copies of Corbett’s book like it is a live grenade filled with explosive truths (that you can lob into a crowd of Matrix Steak eating normies) to red pill them, I like it 🙂

I am gonna try that myself, maybe slip one or two into those little free library (give a book take a book) thingies I see in some upscale neighborhoods around here 😉
