Trita Parsi is talking like a sensible grown up and we live in hope – if this was the aim of governments towards peace we wouldn’t be in this situation in the first place. Put simply I can’t help but think that the Israeli’s need to be brought to heel for anything to work diplomatically!
May Trita Parsi be right about this issue, the European restrictions of crude oil, liquefied gas, fertilizers, Aluminum and helium… etc. have already started at this point, I believe it is a trick of the European Union run by the elites. They are just playing with this conflict to impoverish their citizens. .
One big difference between Europe in 1945 and the Middle East now is that Europe’s royal families did not hold much real power, unlike the principalities of the Middle East.
Personally speaking, I think peace is more about how people see themselves. If the average person in the UK sees themselves as at war with the average person in Russia, war is more likely. People who see “Russia” or “Iran” or any other country as some amorphous entity personified by a caricatured leader are the ones who sit yelling at the TV (yes, the TV), calling for war.
Israel is a place, so is Iran and the US. Places can not think or act, let alone act rationally. “The Israelis” is not a thing. Whenever you use such words, you mean the politicians ruling at that moment. Now why you would wanna hold an open door for people who are committing genocide (as you said yourself) is beyond my comprehension. There are no political solutions, James knows this, let’s stop pretending otherwise.

Israel , might as well be a country like “Oz” is a country. Instead of money making for the Hollywood executives it’s a fabricated psyop of the bankers. It’s way past time to stop pretending. I was looking at it from the opposite perspective, in the sense that one of the major purposes of massive events such as world wars is to increase the centralisation of power. Meaning what Trita Parsi saw as consequences, I understood were goals.
