I’ve seen some of the pictures of and know that hospitals are overwhelmed with civilians with devastating injuries and people starving to death.

I looked at all this in pattern forms. Long ago there was talk here on the media, pre COVID if my memory serves me , on the delivery of news and the minds catching it in a psychological mit. Then of breaking it down internally. I pointed out the change in pattern of News by a News presenter to News by presenter of satire and comedy, by comedians.
I find it funny that Dore referenced slyly , Jon Stewart as a pillar of truthiness as legitimate to support or wax up the board of Dores own truthiness so we, the listener won’t slip off the board of control while surfing the waves of deceptions. Its complicated and it’s a battle for our minds.
To me it’s all about informing without triggering a reaction or response to the real threat of what’s being said while throttling our emotion via external psychological control. If I find myself too much in agreement with anything I take a step back cause I know I’m being waxed over so something sticks.
Dore is very good at what he does, in that I’m totally in agreement. See what I mean ? Wax on grasshopper.
Interesting – Although I said DELIVER in my comment, I never thought of comedy as a way to actually DELIVER news, I suppose because I previously learned about the news stories that are being commented on and have already formed an opinion. I should have said COMMENT ON THE NEWS. Comedians need something to riff about and it’s usually about the absurdities of life. I have long known about the Zionist influence in American politics and other facts about the state of Israel, US financial support for that country needs to end. I was very pleased to hear that Matt Walsh finally made clear that he feels that ALL foreign aid needs to stop, including Israel.
Regarding Gaza, I did hear the presidents comments at the press briefing, we sure was talking as a hard core Zionist which can flavor the perception of his other words.
For me, in a way he is saying to Bibi, “you cant seem to get your $hit together and stop murdering people so you know what? I am going to take it over and make it something of value.”
Trump talked about moving the people out to an inhabitable place built for that purpose, (which is not genocide by the way) but I noted that he also said that the finished city’s would be for all people, including the Palestinians.
Separating the two assholes that cant get along is a great first step to ending the killing, having a right to return signed into international law would be an idea, although Israel has been able to ignore international law until today, when the US owns it Israel will have no control over it.

Since the Gaza debacle seems to be topical in the commentary, may I put forward a somewhat different perspective.
What we refer to as the “Middle East” is largely a sea of Arabic-speaking Muslims. This nation also extends across the entirety of North Africa. On the edge of this expanse sits Israel. Islam has a pathological attitude towards followers of Judaism.
The Arab state bordering Gaza which used to have jurisdiction now refuses to take the 20 mile Gaza strip back. So who’s the bad actor here? All of them. Both sides.

I would argue that , much as I dislike Islam, they actually don’t have a natural hated of Jews. Nor, to be honest do Jews have a natural hatred of Muslims.
Both groups have worked together against Christians, who are the target of hatred from Jews, and to a much lesser extent Muslims.
Nor do Muslims present a single unified bloc, they have plenty of their own feuds. Most of the issues are down to Israel acting like a Great Power and constantly biting off more than it can hold onto….with their comparative birth rates Israel is not likely to exist in another hundred years, or even 50 tbh.

Little children, no matter how they were born, what culture they are born into deserve a chance. What they are doing over there is cruel and evil. Civilized people don’t condone that type of thing. When people loose their sense of empathy even for those who are different become what they despise.

I didn’t say you were, if I implied that, my apologies. I just wanted to state that I do believe that when civilized people loose empathy, they loose something important that is worth preserving.
Even Muslim children deserve empathy. They didn’t chose their parents. I treated a sweet little kid in the ER who’s mom had a full Burka on. She spoke fluent English. The father was present and the little kid was respectful and rather sweet. No tantrums and he was brave. Some little kids hate going to the hospital. There was no sense of hostility coming from these people towards me.
So I do have empathy for human beings even though I might not like the cultural context they come from. So I do always bear that in mind, that I don’t want to see people suffer or have my tax dollars go to do cruel things.
I have known some Muslim doctors, one of them in particular is a really kind person. They have never pushed anything on me. They speak fluent English and treat people with kindness and respect. This person is not my enemy. As far as being able to “assimilate” some of them can. Certainly not all, but some.
I think less political intervention, funding and meddling into other nations affairs would reduce the amount of immigration and subsequent clashes of cultures. Those that are causing this issue, should also be the focus.

Yes, females do have more empathy then men MOST of the time….it tends to happen in safe society’s where it’s affordable as a luxury behavior. One of the most vicious things is a mom fighting for her own kids place ( look at the biblical story of Hagar and Sarah….. it’s COLD) in inheriting stuff or social positions.

No worries, I do have empathy- I just deliberately limit my sympathy so it can’t lead me astray. I really think poking the 3rd world is a horrible and harmful thing to do and wish them well wallowing in their own nastiness. I don’t care enough to spend a single American life on the Middle East, I don’t care if they eat each other.
As to enemies I have kids, and so Muslims and Jews ARE my enemies because if either of them get the whip hand they will make my descendants lives worse. Thus I’d support a war against them IF needed, but better to just keep away from them….enemies can be wonderful people, my dad and my mom’s family would literally have killed each other had they met on the battlefield, how nice or kind or wonderful they are is not what makes people enemies, it’s if they threaten your own people’s existence and way of life. I was good mates with a Chinese dude, but he will choose china and Chinese people over me any day when it comes down to it. I can’t hate him for that.
One of my best friends in middle school was Chinese and she didn’t care that I was white and loved me all the same. Her mom was very xenophobic but my friend had me over the house anyway.

I have been most fortunate to have notable positive experiences with different types of people, maybe just good luck.
I know that generalities can be made with some people but I do keep an open mind and heart for the exceptions.
This is what I think is most worth preserving in our culture, or at least what is held up as a virtue, to treat others with respect and to have empathy.
I was taught that honor is one of the most important virtues to live by. There is no honor in what the Zionist Jewish elites and their underlings are doing. It ruins the social credibility of European peoples to support these atrocities.
When I say support, I mean those who don’t acknowledge them for what they are.
People who don’t have empathy for other human beings, IMO have a deficiency in character. Those who lack honor or a sense of right and wrong to me are uncivilized regardless of the culture and race they come from.

I can empathize with him or anyone who has experienced this type crime or have had family who have suffered.
Yes , I was just thinking about honor cultures and how they see such things- for example as I read it Vikings would have a feud with their neighbors and it was considered quite honorable to burn the guys house down at night…. But sneaking up on a guy and stabbing him in the back was rude and dishonest. I mean, if I was a GI looking at invading Japan I’d have been super happy they got nuked and avoided getting skewered on a jap bayonet…on the other hand I think the USA pretty much forced Japan into war.

In reference to the guy who stabbed the man who raped him as a child, I don’t think he should have stabbed him in the back, but I can’t say the guy he stabbed didn’t deserve it and that the world wasn’t better because of it.
Yes, stabbing someone in the back is not right, however in his case the mitigating factors resulted in a reduced prison sentence.
Ideally, he would have given the guy a chance to explain and turn himself in, but he had diminished capacity. I really don’t know how people would feel being a victim of that type of thing, but I have known people who were very damaged from that abuse. It can leave permanent damage on a person.
But yeah, better to give a person a fighting chance even if they are a scum bag. But allowing a dangerous person like that to walk around free is probably worse.

I tend to agree with a lot of what H has said. I think that the way Trump talked about GAza being rubbles in front of Netan Yahoo was humiliating for him. Trump likes to make some crazy statement that get everybody in a twist. That is his tool. I think that what he was saying to Netan Yahoo is “we gave you the bombs and the money, you failed, it is a mess now, you owe us so we will take the land and fix it ourselves. We will find a place for people of Gaza to go until it is cleaned up and then they can come back. We will own it and make it nice and clean and will make a lot of money out of it as well” That is sort of how I perceived it. Now I don’t see that the people of Gaza would agree with this and I don’t see how the international community would see this happening either. But like at other times Trump’s statements are so totally outrageous but it does not mean he is going to follow through with any of it. Trump is trying to go back to isolationism and at the same time he is the perfect image of American imperialism. In a weird way he might force Netan Yahoo to stop the killing and he might force the surrounding countries to come about with a solution to this war. I am in Canada and we are subject to the tariffs threats. We are stuck with Trudeau and the Trump threats are playing in his favor. Another WEF puppet will replace him soon, Carney. Very depressing.
