It’s December (if you can believe it!). The days are getting shorter. The temperatures are falling. People are sipping hot chocolate or eggnog and staying warm with family and friends.
. . . Unless you’re in the Southern hemisphere, in which case, reverse all that.
Whatever the case, The Corbett Report’s December Open Thread is now open for business. As usual, Corbett Report members are invited to log in to the site and leave their thoughts, ideas, questions, comments, stray observations, eggnog recipes or whatever else is on their minds in the comments below.
Or, if you just don’t have enough Corbett in your life, here’s a bunch of interviews that I’ve given lately on a number of different podcasts:
James Discusses REPORTAGE on The Free American Press
REPORTAGE: Mapping the Global Chessboard with James Corbett and How To Stop Being a Sacrificial Pawn
Unmasking Epstein: A Conversation with James Corbett
How the Internet Got Tamed: James Corbett on Media & Power
And this week, members who log in are not only treated to a subscriber exclusive video in which me and Shaun choose our kanji of the year but they also get the discount code for 50% off all Corbett Report media at the New World Next Week store (with the exception of the brand new 2018 Data Archive USB, of course).
So, what are you waiting for? Log in now and join in the fun!
Not a member yet? Sign up today to get log in access to the site and to keep this independent media growing!
If you are a paid subscriber and you don’t know how to sign in to corbettreport.com, just contact me. I’ll be happy to help.

My word of the year would be rollercoaster. Up and down on a wild ride!
My word of the year is “slangwanger.” It’s a word that needs to be brought back.
Freedom
Fascinating – “ancient tradition” dating back to 1995 🙂
Word of the year: Dissolution – process by which something dissolves, becomes weaker, the breaking apart of organizations, agreements, and so on.
I’m with Shaun on the whole ‘spiraling down’ thing. Breaking down of the old order, out of the chaos… etc., ‘problem, reaction, solution’ type stuff.
Here in NZ, the dissolution of public trust in formerly ‘infallible’ institutions – particularly public health, media, education, judiciary, and the police. Amongst a growing minority of NZers, I would go so far as to include the dissolution of people’s belief in the so-called social contract.
It seems to me that the Sandy Hook shooting of December 14, 2012 is one of the most controversial events of our time and also one of the most forgotten. I rarely see any alternatives to the official narrative. Anyone who questions the accepted story is vilified and ridiculed. Yet for sheer weirdness it is fascinating to think about. Is this one of those controversies too hot to treat seriously? I would be interested to see what your take is on this subject.
Word of the year: reportage. Reasons: such a perfect book in its design and content and separately, the word itself sounds and looks nice to me.
WOTY = “Truth” = only way out of the chaos, spirals, etc
